PROJECT BACKGROUND AND BRIEF EXPLANATION

Our group has chosen the Freedom Bookstore located in Parit Raja, the reason that we chose that particular place is because most of the time we would buy the books or stationery, and it is one of the biggest bookstore in Parit Raja town, and then we examined the place how the network layout and then we were quiet disappointed when discovered that network layout is not organized and more of that they having the second floor for the SPM student to purchase the books and at there is no any CCTV monitoring the place, so we decided to propose an enhancement , a new layout and specification .ProblemsEnhancementJustification

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT

A requirement to do the computer networks project. To have a broad knowledge about network rather than just studying only. Learn more about the network layout by helping the bookstore to an enhancement. Identify current network at Freedom Bookstore. Develop design network structure.

SCOPE

Ground floor and 1st floor (830 sq. ft.) At ground floor consists two PC and surrounded by four CCTV at the top of corner. At the 1st floor consists four PC, an intranet connected printer, server rack and one CCTV that enable to rotate

Wireless and wire:Wire to connect between computers, printers, switch, router, SSP and CCTV (XXX) by using local area network connection. Wireless to connect between laptop, mobile and CCTV.CHAPTER 4

ANALYSIS

4.1 Network Organization Structure

SafetyProvide better atmosphere and safety for people attending bookstore. All the facility inside bookstore building are safe to use. SecurityThe connection between the computer and the server are secure. Bookstore do not provide the Wi-Fi access to the costumer. This is because the Freedom Bookstore need to secure all the private information for example staff detail, book author and total profit. Only the authorized user can access the server to update, add, delete and modify the data. ServiceProvide a better customer service by improving the perception between the costumer and the bookstore staff. If costumer has any problem with the product provided by the bookstore, the customer are guaranteed can changes the product within three days. GrowthPerhaps our goal is to grow our business operation. ProfitabilityA most important business goal is to run a profitable operation in the current Freedom bookstore Revenue objectives could consist of increasing annual sales by 10 percent or landing three new accounts each month.

4.3 Technical Requirements

Network topology designIdentify which type of network topology are suitable for Freedom BookstoreConfiguration of networkConfiguration skills and professional person are required to establish the connection between the computer and server in Freedom BookstoreHardware and softwareUse the quality and trusted hardware and software to develop a network. This is important for the long lasting profit and the security of the data.

Cooperative Network CodingCooperative Network Coding synergistically integrates cluster-based Cooperative Communications and Network Coding to produce enhanced network reliability and security features, while improving the throughput.

Install a network error detectorIt is needed to monitor a network error and automatically fix the error in the organizations to make sure the sale can be done without any interruption.

5.0 Conclusion

Establishment of Freedom Bookstore is to improve economic interests according to cooperative principles. Network Organization Structure of Freedom Bookstore has been created and designed to achieve profit, improve customer service and effort to develop Freedom Bookstore. Technical requirement, physical and logical network diagram has been discussed to improve Freedom Bookstore. Moreover, some recommendations are explained for further improvement for Freedom Bookstore in future.8
