In 1984, the Royal Australian Mint first released its beloved circulating $1 'Mob of Roos' coin, designed by master craftsman Stuart Devlin AO CMG.

Devlin, who was born in Geelong (VIC), trained as a gold and silversmith. In the 1960s he won a competition that led to his designs being used for Australia's new suite of decimal coins, which are still in circulation today.

In 1984, a new Devlin design was used for Australia's new circulating $1 coins featuring five kangaroos, the 'Mob of Roos' design is vibrant and original.

This 2020 $1 selectively gold plated 5oz silver proof, pays tribute to the clas-sic 'Mob of Roos' coin, and to the ongoing legacy of designer Stuart Devlin.

Struck by The Perth Mint, this 22 carat gold Australian Proof Sovereign dated 2020 has a face value of $25 and weighs 7.99 grams. The reverse portrays St.

Edward's crown, a laurel wreath and the word Australia with 'Perth Mint' above and 'Sovereign' below. In celebration of the 165th anniversary, the

coin also bears a ‘165’ privy mark.

The Spanish vessel El Cazador (Spanish for The Hunter) with its crew and tons of Spanish silver vanished during a winter night of January 1784 while en route from Vera Cruz Mexico to the port of New Orleans. All hands lost as a dark, cold winter squall ended El Cazador's journey from Vera Cruz to New Orleans. Although unfortunate for the crew, and Spain, it was fortuitous for the United States. Had the vessel completed her journey, Spain would have retained her hold on a large part of the new world. The loss of El Cazador, ultimately meant US ownership of territories now known as the Louisiana purchase.

For over 200 years El Cazador's silver cache lay in a pile at the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico until quite accidentally fisherman discovered the wreck in August 1993. Initially thought to be rocks, clusters of coins spilled from the nets onto the deck of their boat. El Cazador's journey was alive again!

El Cazador is particularly significant since her mission, had it been successful, would have altered the dimensions of the United States and changed their course of history.

These coins were minted in Mexico City before 1784 and were part of El Cazador's cargo. Each coin is accompanied by certificate of origin and a tag signed by treasure salvager Craig A. Boyd.

From 1999-2001, The Perth Mint issued three limited edition one kilo pure silver kookaburras each with gold plated honour marks of the five US State Quarters issued by the US Mint for those years.

The US State Quarter program has become one of the most collected series of coins issued in modern times. Each kilo is encapsulated and housed in a timber, hinged-lid presentation box, accompanied by five original US quarters and certificates of authenticity.
