Neptune

• Neptune is the 8th planet in the solar system. Sometimes it’s the 9th planet because Pluto cuts in.

Page 3: Neptune

How Big?

• Our planet Neptune is 49,528 km. It is much bigger than Earth. You need about 20 or 30 Earths to fill in Neptune.

Page 4: Neptune

Moons

• Neptune has thirteen moons. People use to think it had only four. One of the moons name is Triton. There is another moon called Nereid. It took forever to discover Nereid. There are other names to the rest of the moons. Neptune also has three rings.

What would happen….

• If a human wanted to go to Neptune, I wouldn’t suggest it. What would happen to a human is they would probably freeze to death. They can also get sucked in to the Dark spot. They would also die.

The Dark Spots

• Neptune has two Dark spots. The Dark spots are like the red spot on Jupiter. One of the Dark spots is big and the other one isn’t as big. The big spot is almost as big as Earth. The Dark spots are storms.

Something special

• Something special about our planet is that Neptune has its own symbol. It was also named by a Roman God.
