Weekly Market Information(NEPSE) index that had been a bullish run last week witnessed
improvement this week also. The stock market, this week, closed at1283.52 points with an increase of 4.6 points compared to the openingday. Last week, it had been on the incline with 13.93 points at the lastday compared to the first day. According to NEPSE, the stock marketrecorded transactions of some 11,696 units of shares of 138 companiesworth around Rs 2.8 billion. This amount is increase than by 11.73 percent compared to the previous week.The sensitive index (Sensex)measuring the transactions of ‘A’ class companies touched 277.51 pointswith an increase of 1.29 points compared to the opening day.CIT ( on thebasis of transacted amount),SEOS (on the basis of transacted number ofshares)and NBB (On the basis ofnumber of times) led the stock marketthat opened for five days this week.
