NEONATOLOGIST Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Windsor Regional Hospital

Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, Department of Paediatrics Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Windsor Campus, Western University

The Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, Department of Paediatrics, Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, Windsor Campus, Western University, is seeking a Neonatologist with evidence of training in Targeted Neonatal Echocardiography and experience in meta-analysis for a faculty position in Windsor. Candidates having trained at an accredited Training Centre for TnECHO in North America with training in research methodologies in clinical research will be given priority. In addition to clinical, educational and scholarly activities in the Department of Paediatrics in the Neonatal Unit at Windsor Regional Hospital in collaboration with the Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine of Schulich at the Children’s Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC), he/she will work collaboratively to develop a regional presence in TnECHO in collaboration with other members of the Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and the Division of Paediatric Cardiology at Children’s Hospital. He/she will actively contribute to the undergraduate and postgraduate education, and research programs of the Division and Department. The successful applicant will also serve as a role model for our undergraduate medical students, paediatric residents and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Subspecialty Fellow/Residents. The Neonatal Unit at Windsor Regional Hospital is a 24 bed Level II/Modified III Unit that serves the 500,000 people of Windsor and Essex County (www.wrh.on.ca). Subspecialty training in Neonatal Perinatal Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent is required. The successful candidate will hold a full time Limited Term clinical academic appointment within Schulich at the rank of Assistant Professor as a Clinician Teacher. Compensation for this position will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and will be primarily composed of an alternative funding plan and academic salary.
