NELSON JAYAuctioneer & NAA Benefit Auction Specialist Gavelo Auctions, LLC

Nelson Jay is the Principal Auctioneer of Gavelo Auctions, LLC, a Seattle-based business offering auctioneer, emcee and benefit auction consulting services.Nelson is a graduate of the Missouri Auction School and the University of Washington. While brand building for a Seattle brewing pioneer, during the heady days of the craft-beer revolution, Nelson developed a passion for creating rousing consumer-engagement events as he worked both behind the scenes and the microphone to deliver unique and memorable guest experiences. While at the brewery he attended a benefit auction with the late, great Seattle auctioneer extraordinaire, Dick Friel. From that moment Nelson was hooked on charity fundraising through the live auction method.Nelson lives in NE Seattle with his wife Tiffany and three children. Away from the auction block, you can find Nelson somewhere in the outdoors with his family – cycling, skiing, hiking, traveling or tending the backyard hens.

Welcome to the 2016Laurelhurst Elementary

PTA AuctionThank you parents, teachers, staff and friends for joining us at this year’s auction “Homecoming-A Night to Remember” in support of our students at Laurelhurst.

The auction is our school’s largest fundraiser and is extremely important to the PTA’s efforts to help the school provide enriching programs for our kids. Your donations help bridge the significant funding gap between what the school district provides and what teachers and parents believe our children need to learn, grow and thrive. Your generosity helps fund critical needs such as reading specialists, math tutors, art instruction, music programs, science enrichment and much more. These donations benefit EVERY student at Laurelhurst.

Tonight’s festivities would not have been possible without the time, talent and leadership of our Auction Chairs Lisa Coulter, Jen Gouk, Bev Kelleher, Mimi Sternberg, and their troupe of parent volunteers who are listed inside this catalog. Many others have jumped in as well and we whole-heartedly thank you for all of your dedication to Laurelhurst Elementary, and for making this a very special night. YOU ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Have a fabulous time tonight connecting with friends, sharing good food and laughs, and bidding on an amazing selection of items and experiences, thanks to all of our wonderful donors. We are all in this together, raising funds to create fabulous enriching opportunities for our students. Thank you for being a part of such a caring community. We are happy to see you here and incredibly grateful for your support!

Sincerely,

Linda Chou and Aimee Horn Laurelhurst PTA Co-Presidents
