First and foremost I would like to thank all those who came to our Installation and made it a very memorable day for myself and my officers. Second, I hope all had a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year. Third be ready for a great New Year of Fellowship and Brotherhood in Masonry. It is my intent to try and revive many age-old rituals and practices this year as well as reunite the Brothers of Nellis that are Not attending regularly. I invite you also to join me in trying to make our Lodge and District better and more enjoyable in doing so. Brethren you should want all of us to come together as a Brotherhood and attend our meetings and functions which we plan together. It’s time for you to ask if you can get involved and join the team and make OUR Lodge better. Although we had many functions last year, attendance was way down from previous years. That NEEDS to change. We need people to travel with us, accept appointments to committees, and ATTEND our functions. If we all work together, I can promise that your Masonic experience will be rewarding, satisfying and FUN! I also ask your permission to change some of the current practices and introduce some new ones. These are successful in many other Lodges in this world today. I’m currently reading the books “The Traditional Observant Lodge” and “Observing the Craft”. I would like to recommend you also read them. Hopefully you will have a better understanding of the principles written therein. Our 1st Officers meeting will be Jan 5th. All are invited to come and help us plan for this year’s functions. Your input is important! Brethren, again, please do not miss out on the fellowship we have with each other and others. If you need transportation or just don’t feel like driving we will welcome you and provide for you (Call me personally at 702-578-1945). Brotherhood Reunited! Respectfully & Fraternally WM Miguel A. Zavala

My brothers

I would like to take a minute to appreciate

my predecessor for his honorable service

as Junior Warden. We have all seen an

enjoyable year pass by and our officers

have worked very hard to make it so. As

we know Dennis Tyson has done a superb

job in his floor work, he sets a standard for

coming officers. Dennis has also managed

our meals, organizing the kitchen budget

like no one else, thus assuring, that we

have been pleasingly fed during our before

meetings, special functions and at breaks.

I would like pledge to do my best to follow

Dennis’ example, so that 2015 will continue

in that trend. I would also like to thank

brother Daniel Partridge our Masters of

ceremony and WB John Messana for

pledging their assistance in 2015.

Brother John Messana has forwarded the

idea that we should offer that if any brother

or group of brothers would like to sponsor

or provide a meal that the lodge should

allow for that to occur. Accordingly, if there

is anyone who would like to do this please

contact myself or Daniel and we will

coordinate the activity with you, making

sure that the donation does not go

unrecognized.

Brethren there are two major fundraisers scheduled for 2015: a Gun Raffle and our annual Fireworks Booth. The Gun Raffle is already in progress. Our goal is to sell 400 tickets. Each ticket is $10. The raffle will be held on Tuesday March 3rd (Stated Communication).

The results of fundraising benefit our entire Lodge and it takes the entirety of the Craft working together to ensure we take full advantage of our income generating opportunities. We already have Ticket Teams working hard to sell those tickets but they could certainly use your help. I'm asking that each brother sell just two tickets to persons in their personal circles. Nevadan's love their guns so it's not difficult to make a sale. All it takes is a Brother willing to solicit! Have a great Holiday season. See you in 2015.

Dennis
