The Province of Negros Occidental is located in the western side of

Negros Island. It is bounded by the Visayan Sea in the north, Panay Gulf on the west, Tañon Strait and Negros Oriental Province on the east and Sulu Sea on the south.

Negros Occidental is composed of 32 municipalities and cities. There

were 13 cities (one highly urbanized city and 12 component cities) and 19 other municipalities. The total number of barangays is 662 scattered in the six legislative congressional districts.

Total land area of the province of Negros Occidental is 792,607
