Seasons, Seasons, Seasons!

Oh how seasons determine so much about what we put on. In the summer time it is so easy. You just put on a cool little summer dress and that’s it. Fall/Winter, some may have a struggle with looking fashionable without using the same jacket or coat over and over again. Well, we are here to guide you through this fashion issue. Okay, it’s cold and you might not like it. Get over it! It’s time to gear up and LAYER for goodness sakes!! If you have a simple dress or short sleeve shirt that you feel like you can’t wear because it’s freezing, be creative. Build on that. That’s the beauty of Fall/Winter, you can build on whatever that you have. But wait that doesn’t mean put layers on

top of layers! Simply add and subtract. You might have a long sleeve shirt. Okay, add a scarf or a trendy suede vest with that. And just because its a little chill out doesn’t mean we can’t wear our short dresses or skirts. Now is the time to decorate our legs! Tights are the most easiest and helpful trend that will never go away. If you like your legs to be shown wear nude tights, maybe with a little sparkle to them to show off your shape. Get through the winter feeling good about yourself while still staying warm. If you are confused about layering, do your research and look at late 19th century to early 20th century fashions. You might not want to do their exact outfits, yet gather ideas on creatively layering your articles of clothing. They were the queens of layers! Even in the summer time!

Music made me do it! No one will disagree when you is say that music sets you in any type of mood. No one is between you and that mirror when you belt out your favorite lyrics. Music can be your personal stylist for it gives you confidence to become that character that you might relate to at that moment. Just look tasteful when you do it. Look tasteful at whatever you do. Remember you are who you are. Don’t try to be the artist you listen to but become your own interpretation of the artist. Style is all about forming your own in take of your personal surroundings. Music has a way to anyone’s vision and soul. Use that confidence as a source of energy for your individual style. Needom recommends anyone to listen to there favorite tunes and let their imagination inspire their appearance.

Music Is My Outlet, Music Is My Stylist

“Please go for your dreams. Whatever your ideals, you can become whatever you want

to become”-Michael Jackson

Switching up for Fall/ Winter is switching up your outfits for the environment that’s ahead of you. Summer lovers; please do not try to make your cool summer clothes work. Not only will you freeze to death but you will also be looked at sideways.

We are all guilty of buying something that we have no business buying. It can be clothes, or that massage device you never use. For all of you shopaholics that literally have seizures when you see an expensive outfit take notes on how to spend money wisely. It’s wonderful when you walk into a store and you find that outfit that you been looking for. But it isn’t so great when your pockets are full of lint when you leave. All we are saying here at Needom is to use common sense when you shop. We aren’t knocking down expensive items. Everyone needs a little plush in his or her lives. One must know how to mix expensive items with items they already have. If you can’t afford your dream outfit, shop creatively at your neighborhood stores. You might ask, “What is shopping creatively?” Well folks, shopping creatively means you shop with an outlook that is clever enough for you to walk out with cash in your pockets. There is a thrift store named Wasteland in Los Angeles, California that displays their thrift items in a creative way. This allows their customers to explore their outfits while forgetting that they are vintage items. Needom will show you how to do this for yourself. Stores, such as Marshalls, TJ Maxx and your neighborhood thrift stores are perfect examples. These stores carry name brand items that maybe didn’t make it in their name

You may find that some of these items have a slight imperfection. It’s okay, that’s why we suggest you to take your time when you shop at these stores. It’s just like finding treasure! This is when you know you are a fashion genius when you can go to Marshall’s and find an outfit that looks fashion forward. It’s so easy people! Honestly, sometimes you may find an expensive article of clothing that looks so cheap. You ask yourself, “How in the hell did they get this item in here?” That’s the whole thing with the fashion industry. Most of the time it’s about the name and the brand behind it. Most of these brands are just slapping their names on these items and selling them. Now, I can’t speak for all name brands! The true brands live up to those prices because of their luxurious quality of clothing. That’s when you save up and invest in these types of brands. Don’t feel guilty! Only feel guilty when you have nothing left over for yourself! Try it out, take a look at your nearest discount store or vintage store and pick out that special something that speaks to you. Remember, quality, fit, color, print and most importantly price are just a few factors you look for when you shop with your beer pocket. Cheers to beer pockets! Let’s go to the fashion bar!

Be Smart when Shopping

Suggestions: 1. Have a lot of time on your hands when you are shopping at these particular discounted stores. Finding the right outfit may take some time. But it’s worth it.

2. Dig deep and put in thought when you shop for an outfit.

3. Count how many pieces you are looking for and stick with that number.

Q: What does fashion mean to you?

A: Fashion means everything to me. It defines who I am and it helps me express myself every time I put something on new.

Q: What are some of your influences on your style?

A: I definitely think that things from the past inspire me to mold my style into something new. Different artist from Audrey Hepburn to Rihanna, Beyonce and Lady Gaga also inspires me. And I make it into my own.

Q: How has music inspired your fashion?

A: Every different song I listen to speaks something new to me to put on something unique. A song I hear puts me in a mood and whatever mood I’m in I play off that with my personal style.

Q: Who are your favorite designers? And why?

A: I like Michael McQueen, DSquared, and Michael Kors. I like Michael McQueen because his designs are the most unique designs. They are out of the ordinary and artistic. I like Michael Kors because his collections are classy yet fun and clean. DSquared shoes are my favorite because they are platforms and I love tall shoes.

Q: What advice will you give to those who are confused about their style?

A: I will tell them to do what they feel. Don’t try to jump on the bag wagon of fads! And
