Industry Networking

Medtech is closer to an actual business setting than anything we do in business school.

As an engineer, it is really good to learn how to understand a medical need then develop a technology instead of trying to find a need for an existing technology.

Medtech gives me a chance to work on a problem that doesn't already have a solution.

Medtech allowed me to observe medical procedures and then sit down and interview the surgeon.

I get queasy at the sight of blood, my mom couldn't believe it when I told her I was in the operating room during a quintuple bypass!

I like working as a multidisciplinary group and understanding what each of us bring to the table.

Collaborating with students of different skill sets and experiences brings a variety of perspectives and ideas to light.

Medtech allows me access to an industry coach who knows about the inner workings of the industry.

Medtech connected me with a professor who has gone through a large part of the process we are going through.

When interviewing stakeholders it was interesting to see how perspectives on one need can vary.
