TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1 - Arrival at Cochin before 12 pm

Everyone need to reach before 12pm for pick up from station and 1 PM at Cochin Airport. Later transfer to Hotel. After lunch

(at own expenses), we will go for sightseeing in Fort Kochi and Mattanchery. The major tourists attractions includes St.Francis

Church, Vasco House, beach walkway in Fort Kochi and Jewish Synagouge, Palace and Jew town of Mattanchery. We may not

able to cover all the places due to time constraint so we will see best of the sightseen as per situation.

Overnight at Cochin

Day 2 – Nehru Boat Race Festival, Alleppey

Today Early morning we will leave for Nehu Boat Race Location (approx 2hrs drive - we need to consider traffic as well).

The Kerala snake boat races have been in existence since four hundred years, they were used for fighting wars in water by the

ancient Kuttanadu Kings. The boat races are popularly called snake boat races due to the peculiar canoe shape of the boat.

This race is full of thrills and excitement. It is primarily held in memory of Jawaharlal Nehru (First Indian Prime Minister). The

course of the race is 1.4 km in Punnamada lake. The canoes made from wood 100 to 120 feet in length, carrying 90-110

oarsmen and moving like a snake through the channel, is a sight to behold for every tourist.

Later visit the Kumarakom Sanctuary which provides a close view of migratory birds that come from Himalayas and other far

places. You can also enjoy shopping in Kumarakom which is famous for handicrafts items made of coconut shell, bamboo, cane

etc and then transfer to Hotel.

Day 3 – Alleppey Backwater Ride

After breakfast, we will go for Backwater ride. Alleppey is also known as Venice of the east by its special geographical features as the

place is famous for its vast back water stretches and paddy fields. By 12 pm you can board your houseboat to explore the back

waters and its serene beauty. Enjoy the ride through the lagoons and isolated island villages of Vembanadu Backwaters.

Day 4 – Alleppey - Thekkady ( 175 kms / 4 hrs)

Today after breakfast check out your hotel and drive towards Thekkady, the Wildlife destination of Kerala. Its also known as the Spice

bag of the state. You can enjoy a beautiful journey through the hills to reach this jungle destination. Check in your hotel and later we

have arranged amazing boat ride (included in package) in Periyar Lake which flows through the Periyar tiger reserve. You will have

chance to watch the wild animals like elephant, Bison, Sambar, Deer etc are roaming the both shore.

Evening visit Spice Plantation market and you may opt for Kathakali show at extra cost.

Day 5 – Thekkady - Munnar (110 kms / 4 hrs)

Today morning drive to Munnar hills (110 Kms), the green Paradise of Kerala with unending expands of Tea

plantations, spice plantations and a variety of flora and fauna. Check in your hill resort and evening go to visit

Munnar town, Tea Museum and nearby places.

Day 6 - Munnar Sightseen & Onam Festival

Today after breakfast, go for sightseeing at Mattupetty Dam; a beautiful spot for viewing the picturesque Munnar,

Kundala Lake- a natural lake with recreational facilities like boating and having excellent view of Western Ghats as

well as the forest surrounded with. Also visit Eco point and Tea plantations. Afternoon we will enjoy Onasadhya-

Feast during Onam. Later again we will cover remaining part of Munnar sightseen. Back to Hotel.

Day 7 - Transfer to Cochin Airport (140 kms / 4hrs)

We will leave at sharp 9 AM from Hotel. Reach airport around 1 PM.
