Add a comment in our ‘Tell us what you think’ section on TKB, so members can share their ideas and we can continue to improve our content. Customer service focus The focus of our Technical Team is to provide the best customer service and advice to our members and a self- service knowledge base is just part of that. We’ve designed TKB to complement our existing telephone service but also built in an email-based feature so you can ‘submit a request’. If a member is unable to find the answer to a particular question through the TKB search feature, they can simply click on the ‘SUBMIT A REQUEST’ link, found at the bottom of each search results page and article. Our Technical team will send a personal response, which the member can access via TKB and their email inbox. Fresh new content Our aim is to regularly update the knowledge base with articles based on topics you’re asking about, as well as product recalls and the important eAlerts you may already receive from us via email. We have purchased licences from SAI Global in order to allow members to search not only the Wiring Rules but several other Australian Standards in their entirety. • 2067:2008 • 2790:1989 • 3001:2008 • 3003:2011 • 4836:2011 • 2293.1:2005 • 3000:2007 • 3008.1:2009 • 3010:2005 • 3012:2010 • 4777:2005 • 5033:2014 • 4509:2009 Available Standards & more to come....

the way with the services we provide to our members. So when you asked for a more innovative way to access technical information and advice - we listened. We’re proud to introduce ‘TKB’, our online searchable Technical Knowledge Base, developed by NECA specifically for the electrical industry.

Can you imagine being able to search the Wiring Rules at the job site using your tablet or smart phone? Within seconds you could find the wiring diagram you need.

Research and collaboration During the development phase, we consulted with many industry specialists to gain permission to upload Australian Standards; Safety Rules; ACT & NSW Legislation, Regulations and Guidelines; as well WHS Starter Pack and Safety documents. Feedback gathered from various committees, NECA events and general conversation with members has been gratefully received and incorporated.

‘Tell us what you think’ Feedback from members will drive these kind of innovations, so please let us know if we can use TKB to find a solution to help you. Add a comment in our ‘Tell us what you think’ section on TKB, so members can share their ideas and we can continue to improve our content.

Customer service focus The focus of our Technical Team is to provide the best customer service and advice to our members and a self-service knowledge base is just part of that.
