The Shadow Lake LetterA monthly newsletter for Hillcrest Shadow Lake residents
Kevin’s Column
June 2018
June is here and that means baseball and sunshine. The first day of summer is June 21st. I encourage getting outdoors and enjoying summer. That means picnics, barbeques, swimming and fishing. I love being outdoors and getting to
spend time on the lake. Fishing is a hobby of mine. Every June I go to Minnesota on a fishing trip with my family. I enjoy the serenity and the calmness out on the water. Father’s Day is also in June; it works out that I can celebrate with my family while also being on vacation. Father’s Day is a celebration of the fathers in our lives and anyone we shared a paternal bond with. Each and every person has their own tradition they do to celebrate this holiday with their loved one. -Kevin Sauberzweig, Administrator

June Birthdays
Residents in Action Group exercise has been a growing class for us at Hillcrest Shadow Lake. Each day we do a different class to help us stretch, move and strengthen our bodies. We usually start off our day with group exercise to help us get energized and moving. There are numerous studies stating the many benefits of exercise in aging adults. Not only does it help to improve us physically, but the mental benefits are overwhelming. We like to incorporate questions and fun facts into group exercise class to work the mind a little more. If you would like to come and join our class or have any questions, please let me know! -Ashley Walters, Director of Recreation
