Matters of Municipal Interest Federal land use planning in support of growth management by

encouraging mixed-uses redevelopment of federal employment nodes near LRT or BRT services.

New framework to allow municipal use of federal lands where there is no reasonable alternative and it does not impair the NCC’s mandate.

National Interest Land Mass (NILM): lands to keep in perpetuity for Capital and governmental uses.

Regional Interest Land Mass (RILM): lands to keep in the public domain to serve regional purposes.

Milestone Projects : 17 Major Projects

Confederation Square Renewal

Milestone Projects are major initiatives and catalysts for federal investments in the region from 2017 to 2067

They are physical improvements to the quality of the Capital – visionary “Capital building projects”

They will be spread between short, medium and long-term

Give future governments flexibility based on fiscal conditions
