Across the levels

• Clearly coaches are not moving on beyond L1 in great numbers

• L2 is the key level for development of archers at club level

• Will the revised L2 course offer a better progression?

A clearer view

• We have a broad foundation at L1

• L2 appears to be having some impact but numbers are small

• County - we are picking up! 11 candidates in total - that will double current numbers when they all qualify

• Senior - is it still relevant?

What is our Strategy?

• Do we have a strategy?• Or do we have a system that is reactive

to demand?• Where should our focus be over the

next 2-3 years?• What are the priorities?• What services do we give to archers

and could we do more or better?

Page 10: NCAS Coaching

Your chance…

• In your packs you have a sheet titled “priorities” and “services”

• During the day, write on these anything that you think of that is a priority for development

• Also add in what you think we should be doing more of or better in terms of the services we provide to archers

• These will be collected to make a start om developing a strategy for the region, to help us deliver “the right coach at the right time for the right context”
