How to prevent colds and flus
Shakespeare called sleep"Nature's soft nurse."
LEMON BATH (George Goodheart, DC)
Run a hot bath. Cut a lemon in half. Strain the juice from 1/2 and use it in a warm water enema. If this is not possible, drink it in warm water or tea. Rub the open face of the other half lemon over your skin, cutting layers off of the lemon to make all the juice available. The lemon is a detergent and helps open the pores. Then get in the bath and soak until your pulse raises or you start to sweat. Get out, dry off, go to bed and allow yourself to sweat until you cool down. By then, you will hopefully be feeling better.
FLU AND COLD SEASON
At the first sign of illness, we might head for vitamin C, a hot bath, perhaps tea with honey. Nature provides many remedies to relieve the symptoms that can make us so miserable. This map offers links to herbs, nutrients, food choices and other home therapies for managing the colds and flus that come with winter weather. The information is not intended to replace the proper advice of your health practitioner, but to supplement it.

Daily prevention:
Sufficient sleepWear warm clothingAvoid refined sugar
Exercise and fresh airFresh antioxidant foods
One simple exercise to do is to stand with your feet shoulder width apart and toes pointing forward. Keep the hips pulled back slightly. Raise the arms up to shoulder height with the fingers pointing towards each other and the palms facing your chest making a sort of basketball hoop with your arms. Bend the knees enough so that when you look down you can't see your feet with your back straight and try holding this simple posture for several minutes each day. This is a classic exercise to build up yang energy and strengthen guardian chi. It can even build up a good amount of strength and endurance when done regularly.
