CHAMOMILE

Matricaria recutitaChamomile is surely one of the most popular and widely-used herbs in Slovenian traditional

medicine. Ancient wisdom and experience regarding the health benefits of the

chamomile was also confirmed by modern medicine.

An infusion or brew of chamomile flowers is excellent for facial care and will soften

and bleach the skin on the hands. Using gauze pads, it can also be applied to eyes to treat inflammations or

dark circles around them. It also makes an invigorating

bath. An infusion prepared by boiling the chamomile for 20 minutes can be used as a hair

rinse with slight bleaching effect.

Callendula officinalisMarigold has many

application.

LAVENDER

Lavandula officinalisLavender was popular for its fresh fragrance as early as with the ancient Greeks and Romans who used it in their baths. This can be

inferred from its botanic name lavandula, derived from the

Latin verb lavare, meaning to wash.

brides used to wear rosemary wreaths, “richly woven and

tightly knit with silk ribbons of various colours.”

When used topically, rosemary has disinfecting effect and be rubbed into the skin to

Hippophae rhamnoidesAlthough the shrub of sea-buckthorn may not be as widely known in Slovenia, this plant contains a wealth of beneficial substances. Thus, we have decided to add a new line of eight products made with sea-buckthorn to the Dvorec Trebnik brand. These products were selected to meet the needs and desires of modern consumers.

sea-buckthorn fruit is unique for its content of oil that is rich in vitamins C, A, and E. It also contains many minerals, amino acids, phytosterols, and essential fatty acids. Another very important ingredient of the sea-buckthorn is quercetin which has anti-inflammatory action and strengthens the heart. Sea-buckthorn has been proven to be a strong antioxidant.

Products made with sea-buckthorn strengthen the entire body and restore the organism’s stamina. Sea-buckthorn is a natural antioxidant, which means it protects our health, protects the skin from UV light, and slows down ageing processes. Moreover, it boosts our immune system and speeds up recovery of damaged cells, and slows down the ageing of the skin as it strengthens its connective tissue.
