Where are the mattresses made? What are they made of?These mattresses are made in Italy using innovative German technology.They are made from natural oils, including sunflower, rap, soy and water.

Do the mattresses lose their shape after time and begin to sag?All Grand Soleil mattresses undergo a crushing process twice during manufacturing to ensure the stabilisation of the structure. CATAS Test Laboratory undertook independent tests based on simulated daily use over 10 years and results showed negligible levels of displacement.We recommend general maintenance of turning the mattress every three months.

My partner likes firm and I like soft, what should we order?Mix & Match is perfect for couples who have different preferences.Simply choose two different mattress types and the unifying cover will make the mattress seem as one.Choosing slats with adjustable sliders like Dynamic or Super, means that you can customise each side of the bed to suit to your needs.

Which is the best for a bad back?All Grand Soleil mattresses are developed and endorsed by the Italian Association of Physiotherapists.The Triocell’s use of three different sized cells provide support and comfort and allow even distribution of weight, reducing pressure points and relieving back pain.The Natural Memory mattresses have received a medical grade certification in Italy and is recommended for those who spend prolonged periods in bed. The memory foam reacts to body heat, giving support where required.Bed slats are also critical to relieve back and neck pain and must be considered when deciding on a mattress.

Which slats are the best? Varial slats come standard with all beds ordered through Beyond Furniture and are designed to help the spinal column relax. Super slats are adjustable with a profiled shoulder area for more customised support and superior strength. Dynamic slats are a top-of-the-range system, providing anatomical support with the option of a motorised system offering total control for the most supportive and comfortable sleep. Our range of slats are all high-end products, the best slats depend on your specific needs.

If it is foam, why isn’t it cheaper?Cheaper foam products are made from petroleum and do not have the same complex cell structures that Grand Soleil products have, and therefore do not offer the same levels of support & comfort.Dorsal mattresses are hand-finished in Italy using the latest technologies which are slower and more costly than common foam products. This includes raw materials that are grown in an organic manner and innovative manufacturing processes.

Where does the moisture go if it is absorbed into the cover?The SleepDry cover disperses moisture over the entire cover surface, allowing it to evaporate during the day. This system ensures a fresh sleeping environment and also preserves the mattress core.

Is the pillow important? I like my current pillowYes, the pillow is part of the Dorsal sleep system and having the correct support from your pillow is vital.The pillow should work with the rest of the bed system to ensure your spine remains in a natural alignment.
