• Stage 2 RAP 1993‐ 80 recommendations, a few related to land use planning

• Five‐Year Work Plans 2000 and 2006‐ interim delisting criteria for BUIs 3 and 14:

“Complete Natural Heritage reports for all local governments bordering the Bay of Quinte and ensure that they are implemented into the official plans of the local governments.”

BQRAPS’ Goals

Define a Bay of Quinte centered NHS to: 

• protect and restore fish and wildlife habitat• assist municipalities with implementing NHS strategy into OPs

NHS Mapping Product

• Part 1: Mapping of PPS required features• to assist  in meeting PPS requirements in OPs

• Part 2: Broader target NHS • to guide protection, stewardship, land acquisition and future restoration efforts efforts

• GIS‐based model developed by TRCA, used by CLOCA, GRCA, modified as needed by BQRAP
