Fredriksdal is the home to farm animals of breeds that no longer have a natural place in agriculture and that therefore risk extinction. Rare animals. Everything from cows and horses to pigs and sheep. The native breeds have unique genes and qualities that are perhaps not of great benefit in today’s modern production, but that can play an important role in the future. The native breeds have a safe haven at Fredriksdal and contribute to the development of pastures and meadows.
