    Registration & Abstract Submission

    istoricallyspeaking, human

habitation started its journey fromthe forest, where they dwelt with theflora and the fauna. Now a days, forestresources have been exhausted due to over-grazing, over-exploitation, encroachments, unsustainable practices like shifting of cultivation anddevelopmental activities such as making roads, buildings, irrigation, power projects, etc. These led to the loss of the wildhabitat and resulted in the extinction of certain flora, fauna andmicrobes.

India's biological diversity is very rich but unfortunately its wealth isbeing eroded due to various reasons. This diversity needs to be preservedand the immediate task will be to devise and enforce time bound plans forsaving the endangered plant and animal species as well as habitats of thebiological resources.

In order to conserve these floral and faunal diversities and minimize man-animalconflict, it is necessary to rehabilitate those indigenous communities in or aroundthe forest rather than their displacement.

Therefore, the interrelationship between flora, fauna and human should be urgentlyaddressed in order to maintain a healthy eco-system.The aims of the present national level conference on Biodiversity: Interrelationshipbetween Flora, Fauna and Human are as follows-
