NATIONAL WILDLIFE FEDERATION FINDS OUT:

With support from the Educational Foundation of America, commissions survey by:


MAIN OBJECTIVES:1. Transcend the

anecdotal

2. Identify trends

3. Identify new good practices and exemplary programs

6. Establish some performance indicators

7. Better respond to the press

8. Generate debate


METHOD 2001, 2008:

• Web-based survey in three separate modules

• Distributed to over 3,900 colleges and universities

• To presidents, provosts, chiefs of administration

• Sent letter of introduction to all presidents

• National Association of Campus Activities (NACA)

• National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO)

OUTCOMES 2001:

• 892 respondents completed entire survey

• An additional 223 respondents completed about 20% of the survey

• Responses came from:– 470 Presidents or executive officers– 320 Provosts of academic officers– 325 Chief of facilities of plant operations
