Why are we doing thisWhy are we doing this?– To move from a District only Standards for Aid Verifiers– To a National Certified Minimum Standard for all Aid
Verifiers• Required by the Coast Guard via the AV PQS• This will ensure that all Aid Verifiers will have the same
minimum knowledge base needed by the CG.• District’s still have their own skill sets above the
minimum required– This allows the CG to ensure that all Aid Verifiers will have
the same minimum skill sets if the need arise to call for Aid Verifiers in a National Emergency.
• Which was needed after Katrina but the CG didn’t have any National Certified Aid Verifiers.
