A Message from the National Director This week, together with over 200 others from around the
world, I have the privilege of attending the WEA Mission
Commission Global Consultation in Izmir Turkey. The
consultation will follow the theme Gospel, Church and Witness
with the location providing an excellent context for thinking
globally about the church in mission as well as its local
expressions and the grass-roots movements that carry
it forward.
Please pray for this event, for all that is presented and
discussed and for practical applications to be emerge. Please
also pray for the Mission Commission as it seeks to serve and
bring together global mission movements and initiatives, and
for my role as part of the leadership team.
Pam Thyer
MI National Director
Not For Profit NewsWhile the future is very unclear, there is much resistance to the government's plan to
abolish the ACNC and a large number of submissions were made regarding the ACNC Repeal
Act. The first 50 of these submissions have been published here. A Sydney Morning Herald
article Shining the Light on Charities explores the regulation of Australian Charities and how
this could be best achieved. Also included is a link to "The Zone" with David Crosbie (CEO of
the Community Council of Australia) speaking on the issue. Missions Interlink is a member
of CCA.
