Course is open for practice from 09:30 to 15 minutes before the first race, and from 12:30 to 13:15 (13:00 to 13:30 round 3).

Races are run under UCI Regulations; the UCI Regulations, Scale of Penalties and Anti-Doping Regulations shall exclusively apply.

In all other races the cyclo-cross technical regulations of British Cycling shall apply.

uCIREguLATIONSthe following UCI regulations will apply in all Senior, Junior and Women’s races in the series:

• Only cyclo-cross bikes are permitted.

• Straight handlebars are prohibited.

• Disc brakes are allowed.

Riders who are lapped must leave the race the next time they cross the finish line. they will be listed in the results in the order in which they are pulled out of the race, plus number of laps which have not been completed.

At the discretion of the president of the commissaires’ panel, and after discussion with the organiser, the “80% rule” may be applied. Any rider whose time is 80% slower than that of the race leader’s first lap will be pulled out of the race. he/she shall leave the race at the end of the lap in the zone provided for the purpose, except when the rider is on his/her final lap.

no feeding is permitted.

Bikes or equipment may only be exchanged in the designated pits.

A rider may only take the pit lane to change a bicycle or wheel.

Equipment changes my only be carried out on the box side of the lane. no person may stand on the side opposite the boxes

All races will employ a gridded start. In the Elite/Under-23 men’s races, seeding will follow the UCI Cyclo-Cross Classification, followed by the series standings; for the other categories the series standings will apply. In the opening round, seeding will be based upon the previous season’s final stand-ings and national Championship results.

nB: Competitors in ALL British Cycling cyclo-cross events must comply with UCI restrictions on non-standard wheels. the use of wheels with less than 16 spokes which have not been approved by the UCI is forbidden.

Inallotherraces,andintheintegralcompetitionsforsubsidiaryagegroups(under16girls,under14boys,under14girls,Juniormen,women,under23men,Veteranmen50+)thetop20finisherswillreceivepointsasfollows: 40, 34, 30, 26, 23, 20, 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, then reducing by one point per place to 20th place.

All six events in the series will count towards the overall points result.

the overall leader in the Senior Men, Junior Men, Women, Veteran 40-49 and Youth Under 16 Boys competitions will be awarded a Yellow Leader’s Jersey, which must be worn on the podium, and during the next round of the series. the leaders in the Under 14 Boys, Under 23 Men and Veteran Men 50+ competitions will be awarded a Green Jersey. the leader in the Youth Under 16 Girls competition will be awarded a Blue Jersey. the leader in the Youth Under 14 Girls competition will be awarded a White Jersey.

Minimum prize values in the Men’s Senior/Elite race are determined by UCI requirements, based upon a Euro exchange rate established by the UCI at the beginning of the year. A sum equivalent to 2% of the Senior/Elite prize fund is levied by the UCI as a contribution to the anti-doping fund, and has been deducted from the prize list.

the overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each main and sub category will be awarded gold, silver and bronze medals.

A podium presentation will take place for each trophy category immediately after the last rider has crossed the line in each race. the first three riders in each category, and after round one, the first three riders in the overall classification, are required to attend the podium presentation. Failure to do so may result in penalty or loss of prize money.
