The new surgery in Cardigan boasts two operating theatres, an ergonomically designed double prep room, a bespoke digital x-ray room, an isolation room, a high-ca- pacity cattery and walk-in kennels complete with heated flooring. The reception and waiting area are designed to maximise space and light, maintaining both com- fort and cleanliness, with separate waiting zones for cats and dogs. Established in Cardigan in 1935, Priory Vets now has 13 veterinary surgeons, 6 fully qualified veteri- nary nurses and a team of adminis- trative support staff. In addition to traditional veteri- nary services, the surgery offers homeopathic treatments and acu- puncture. The nurses run clinics on weight-control, diabetes, behav- iour, physiotherapy and geriatrics, as well as pet obedience classes. Birds, reptiles and wildlife are seen regularly and Priory vets work closely with charities including the RSPCA, PDSA, Dogs Trust, Cat Ac- tion Trust and Cats Protection.
