ENHANCING D-DAY EXPERIENCEThis highly interactive D-Day exhibit will allow you to experience the Museum’s D-Day displays in an entirely new way. Within the exhibit, you will learn about the paratrooper experience. For example, the act of equipping a virtual paratrooper with gear gives the real equipment on display additional meaning.

Presented in 7 different languages, HistoPad technology makes learning fun by presenting information in a manner tech-savvy youth have come to expect.You will interact with the history, men and equipment of D-Day, and will be drawn deeper into this pivotal day in history.

EASY AND FUNThe HistoPad technology is easy to use with clear icons prompting you to explore and engage with the content.

IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCEBy orienting the screen in every direction, you can explore a recon-structed site from 1944.

SHOWCASING COLLECTIONSConcise texts, interactive objects, sounds effects and animations enable you to learn more about period artifacts.

RELIC HUNTActivities help stimulate curiosity and encourage deeper interaction.

RICH MEDIAExceptional archival films and interactive animated maps enhance the experience further.

This limited-time exhibit utilizes tablets running the innovative technology “HistoPad,” designed by the French company Histovery. HistoPad is an interactive technology which will immerse you in the history of Sainte-Mère-Église, Normandy France, during the Occupation and the summer of 1944. Through spectacu-lar historically-validated 360° recreations, in association with the Airborne Museum of Sainte-Mère-Église, you will travel in time to understand the key moments of this decisive battle for the success of D-Day.

The 3,500 square foot exhibit will feature twelve physical panels that will guide you through the experience. HistoPad technology will allow you to manipulate a series of 3D virtual relics, view period photographs and extracts of archival films, interact with animated maps, and learn the incredible destinies of some of our nation’s D-Day heroes.

The Air Force Museum Foundation, Inc., is a Section 501 (c)(3) private, non-profit organization incorporated under Ohio law. No Federal Government endorsement
