Gensco Laboratories Supports Gout Awareness Day on May 22, 2015
May 22, 2015 (Miami, FL) – National Gout Awareness Day is held every year on May 22. During this day, the Gout &
Uric Acid Education Society (GUAES) amplifies its efforts to raise public awareness of gout – an extremely painful
form of inflammatory arthritis, which affects more than 8.3 million Americans today.
Gout is the most common form of inflammatory arthritis, yet the vast majority of Americans know almost
nothing about it – and just 10 percent of people with gout are getting needed, ongoing treatment. Recognizing an
urgent need to raise gout awareness and encourage more sufferers to take steps toward optimal gout manage-
ment, the Gout & Uric Acid Education Society (GUAES) has created and offers complimentary resources for both the
public and medical professionals on its website.
Gensco Laboratories, a pharmaceutical manufacturer of patented drug delivery systems and novel technologies
is joining the cause. The Gensco Team is supporting GUAES in helping to raise awareness on May 22, 2015 by taking
a few minutes to focus on gout and sharing educational tools and resources through networks and social media
pages.
