National Food Security Mission (NFSM) is a centrally sponsored scheme with an objective to increase production and productivity of wheat, rice and pulses on a sustainable basis so as to ensure food security of the country.
The approach is to bridge the yield gap in respect of these crops through improved technologies and farm management practices & to increase production of rice, wheat and pulses through area expansion, crop protection and productivity enhancement in a sustainable manner in the identified districts.
