The NCP is an IADLEST effort designed to eliminate many problems associated with a lack of standardization within police training. The NCP sets minimum standards for providers and ensures content compliance.

2. The provider pays for the service.

3. Submission Costs: $150 application fee $165 Per online hour $25 Per in person hour

4. Materials are forwarded to PM.

5. PM distributes to Reviewers.

6. Reviewers must complete assignment by deadline.

7. PM concurs with the reviewers’ assessment.

8. Providers receive completed report with general, positive & negative feedback.

If a course fails the initial assessment, then it will be reviewed again by another reviewer.

If it fails again, the PM will review the content.

If it fails the third review, the PM and IADLEST CEO will notify the provider.

On-Line Training Assessment

Six Failing Standards Participant/instructor ratios are included and are safe. Information must be correct and complies with normal & standards operating procedures. Content is free from discriminatory examples, terminology and negative stereotyping. Program is easy to access online. Participant cannot skip through program and take exam before completing the course. Program allows participant to control the speed of learning.

Procedural Steps for Becoming a Training Reviewer

1. POST recommendation or three letters of reference.

2. Submit a current resume’.

3. Submit a short bio and professional photo for the First Forward portal.

4. Complete the IADLEST confidentiality

contract/agreement

Completing the NCP Reviewers Training Program

o  Log into the First Forward portal. o  Complete the Training Reviewer’s webinar course. o  Complete the sample on-line training program, submit

assessment rubric. o  Complete the sample in-person training program, submit

assessment rubric. o  Partner with another NCP reviewer and complete BOTH

online and in-person training courses.

Reviewer Compensation

In-Person Content Review

$30 per credit hour

$15 per credit hour

On-line Content Review

Example: Online Training course

4 hr course x $30 per hour = $120 In person course

24 hour course x $15 per hour = $360
