Annual Report

NCC (National Cadet Corps), a voluntary organization administered by

the Ministry of Defence, with motto “Unity and Discipline” propelling in

channelizing the force of vibrant youth in Nation building since 1948. NCC

syllabus has been evolved to an integrated program based on three year basic

course at the University level, with an advantage of excursive adventurous

training camps preparing for all round development of personality and writing

„B‟ & „C‟ certificate exams extending opportunities for recruitments in armed

forces and other sectors. NCC camps play vital role in national integration

through coalesce living among varied caste, creed & culture. Ultimate aim of

this organization is to blossom leadership, comradeship, courage, sportsmanship,

secular outlook and an ideals of selfless service.

It was certainly a proud moment when NCC Unit under „Army Wing‟

was included in the course curriculum of our college on 16th

October 2015

under the aegis of 7 CG Battalion, sharing head quarter with Raipur and

Directorate with Bhopal (MP&CG Dte). Our wards embraced NCC with full

enthusiasm, fervour and gaiety. Consequently, a platoon of 54 cadets was raised,

out of which 30% seats were reserved for girls. It is a matter of pride and

satisfaction that both boy and girl cadets show their mettle by competing along

with various camps like CATC, ATC, TSC, RDC & NIC etc. During the CATC

(combined annual training camp) cadets learn the benefit of foot drill, rifle drill,

field and battle craft, weapon & obstacle training, map reading, fire fighting,

first aids, camp pitching, firing, mount climbing, slithering, paragliding and

games etc. NIC (national integration camp), a cultural representation of the state

through dance and drama fill them with zest. RDC (republic day camp &

parade) is held at Delhi Cantt. in the month of January. Selection for TSC,

RDC takes place in various stages. Drills, cultural, NIAP, flag area, YEP (youth

exchange program, an International level camp) and best cadet award are the

major highlights of RDC. Our cadets have the benefit of attending 3 CATC, 2

TSC-selection camp, 2 NIC, and 3 GRP RDC selection camps.

Lieutenant Neeta Johar, ANO; Associate NCC Officer & Asst. Prof.

English, successfully completed her Pre-Commission Training course of 90 days

via. 19.01.2017 to 15.04.2017 from Officer‟s Training Academy, Gwalior and

acquired Grade “A”; being a commissioned officer bringing laurels to the

college. She grabbed Silver Medal of excellence for ranking first in Map

reading. She has also been honoured with 3 certificates for excellence in

planning of Character Development (PD) & Camp pitching. She was also

venerated for her speech on Woman‟s Day. Among the group activity she

participated in volleyball games and won the Trophy for her Alpha team.
