BAM Data Collection

The BAM data are obtained directly from the maintenance console,

and stored in the form of files. The storage period is generally 3 days,

The PSMM data must be obtained after the PSMM data trackingfunction is started with the following command:SET PSMMTRACE, The PSMM tracking data is stored in the formof files, and its default storage path: F:/CDMA2000/Trace/The PSMM data tracking requires starting of NBR (NeighborOptimization Function) and GEO (Geographic Function) tracking.

Nastar can implement the neighbor cell function if NBR (Neighbor Cell Optimization)

RFMT Data Collection

RFMT neighbor cell tracking function:

At one time, it can only track one sector carrier. The maximum tracking time is 6 hours.

The RFMT data must be obtained after the PSMM data tracking function isstarted with the following command: SET RFMT1X

The RFMT neighbor cell tracking data is stored in the SQL Server database of the BAM server, and the RFMT database on the BAM shouldbe backed up, and imported directly with the Nastar tool.

The Nastar tool can analyze multiple types of interference data, and the commoninterference data include: BTS interference data and broadband interferencescanning data. The former is used to analyze the forward and reverse pathsanalysis function (except for the reverse paths spectrum play function) while the

latter to analyze the reverse paths spectrum play function.

The data tracking command must be started to obtain the BTS interference datafor analysis. Different BTS models have different tracking commands. They are:

CDR: Call Detailed Record

To obtain the CDR data, enable the CDR filter switch on the maintenanceconsole with the following command:

MOD CDRFILTER

Set the frame No. and the call release type of the data to be tracked. Afterthe filter switch is enabled, save the reported data toF:\CDMA2000\TRACE\CDR of the BAM server in real time if there is anyCDR data at the foreground that is to be reported.

New Project

Select a correct version No., language, directory for saving the engineeringfiles, project name and description, and click OK to complete.

While a project is established, MSC is automatically generated;

After the Nastar CDMA Transdata tool is started, a new project and BSCmust be established before data import. The specific procedure forproject establishment is shown in the figure below:

The idea for analyzing the forward/reverse channel is find the BTScarriers with the poorest index from the result of data ranking, andanalyze as to whether their forward/reverse channel data are withinthe normal range. If there is any exception in the forward/reversechannel of BTS, it can judge the fault points according to the spots onwhich the exceptional data appear.

Function of Reverse Paths Spectrum Play

reverse interference spectrum scanning review function is to dynamicallyreview the spectrum data output by the reverse broadband interferencedata reported by the BTS. This function is analyzing interferences partiallytaking the place of the frequency spectrograph, and it has the basicfeatures of the universal frequency spectrograph.

The Interference Analysis of the Nastar tool provides two spectrumanalysis function:

1. Spectrum scan: Spectrum scanning function analysis: review the datawithin the tracking time periods, to really reflect the waveform of thereceived signals;

2. Spectrum stat: Spectrum projection: It is to project the data within thetracking time periods, and the minimum receiving level serves as thereference value to reflect the rising of RSSI and judge if there is anyexceptional signal level.

This function is based on the call history record of CHR, to analyze callestablishment failure and call drop at a finer granularity, and trace backand locate the connection failure or call drop of the whole network, areas,carriers and VIP users.

Make a more detailed analysis on the cause of wireless link failure: locatethe failed wireless links (failed forward/reverse links), and further analyzethe possible cause for failure combining different features and events ofthe forward/reverse link failure: coverage, handover, interference,parameter configuration, etc.
