Project Description

•Increase of computers without usersChange in budget proposalsPlanned reductions in forceWindows 7 migration

•Objective: Reduce the computer to head count ratio from 1.4 to 1.19 for Boeing at the Kennedy Space Center.

•Organize and recover these computers to be issued to another user or transferred to non-profit organizations.

Corporate Asset Management System

Method for keeping track of assets, managing transfers and excessing corporate machines.

Asset database of tag numbers, model numbers, ADPe codes, buildings, rooms, accounts, custodians, username, CPU speeds, BSCO units, and acquired dates.

Automated Data Processing Equipment

Monthly Excel reports

Use pivot tables and filters to generate sub-reports to keep track of assets from different perspectives.

CAPPS computer to head count ratio has been reduced from 1.34 to 1.33.

The overall site ratio reduced from 1.4 to 1.38.

During the month of June and July, a total of 34 CPUs, laptops and tablets were excessed.
