TYBCOM PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION – FEBRUARY 2009Instructions to Students
The Preliminary Examination for TYBCom will be held from 9 February, 2009.
Students who write the exam must take it seriously. They must be in their seats 10 minutes before the commencement of the exam. Late comers will not be admitted as a rule. No student will be permitted to leave the exam hall till one hour after the commencement of the exam.
Students should sit in the respective rooms assigned to them according to the seating arrangement (to be put up on the notice board later). Seat numbers are not pasted on the desks and students should take their seats as directed by the Supervisor.
Students are strictly prohibited from:
1) Speaking to or communicating with other candidates or disturbing the orderly conduct of the exam in any way
2) Keeping any supplements, whether written or blank, while leaving the exam hall
3) Keeping books, notes and mobile phones with them in the exam hall
Students, who do not observe these rules will not be admitted to the exam on the following day and will be liable to disciplinary action.
It is expected that students will take this exam as an exercise in self-assessment.

from the University of Mumbai, students who intend to apply for duplicate
copies of their statements of marks, certificate of passing, as well as special
certificates, to produce an affidavit on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs.50/-
made in that behalf of before the Metropolitan Magistrate or Notary appointed by
the Government to that effect, the reasons for issue of the duplicate copy of the
aforesaid documents mentioning therein so also, the First Information Report
(FIR) registered in the Police Station for the reasons whatsoever, i.e. loss,
damage of the same, etc. On completion of these formalities and payment of
necessary fees, the required duplicate certificates will be issued to the concerned

Maharashtra is organizing a massive solidarity meet of the students at Shivaji
Park, Mumbai, on Saturday, 20th December 2008, at 5.00 p.m. His Excellency,
Governor of Maharashtra Shri S.C. Jamir will present on this occasion and the
bereaved family members of all the 18 martyrs of the Maharashtra Police and the
Security Forces who lost their lives while combating the terrorist attacks will be
honoured with medals and citations.
All the students are requested to take part in this solidarity meet.

1) Students should assemble at Shivaji Park by 4.00 p.m. i.e. before arrival
of Chancellor;
2) They should dress in white. (White Shrift, T-Shirt with Blue or Black

N O T I C EDistribution of Eligibility Application Forms of University of Mumbai.
Students can collect University of Mumbai Eligibility Application Forms from this centre and also can submit to this centre for applying for Provisional Eligibility Certificate, only for First Year, which is issued by the University of Mumbai.
Applying for Provisional Eligibility Certificate through this college does not guarantee a seat in this college.
(i) “IN-HOUSE” students are admitted on priority to FYBCom class as per University norms. In this college we have 1188 students at SYJC class. At FYBCom we have 960 seats only. In case if any seats left out after admitting our own students such seats are filled up with outsiders on merit as per University norms.
(ii) Admission to FYBMS class strictly on merit as per University rules.
Students wish to take admission in Second Year/Third Year should directly apply to the Eligibility Section, University of Mumbai, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Bhavan, Vidyanagari, Santacruz (E), Mumbai 400 098 for Provisional Eligibility Certificate.
Students should submit attested copies of the marksheet of Std. XII (Caste Certificate for Reserved Category) alongwith Eligibility Application Form.
Only one course can be mentioned in one form, for which only one Eligibility Certificate will be issued. Separate application along with fees can be made for separate course.
Indian students who have passed Std. XII from abroad should submit attested photocopies of marksheet, passport, and visa, etc. alongwith the Eligibility Form.
Students of I.B., Cambridge etc., can submit predicted grades and certificate of conversion of grades into percentage if their result is not declared.
Foreign nationals should also submit the same documents and affix recent photograph on the eligibility form.
Please take the note that the college is only an accepting centre of the eligibility forms, the eligibility section of the University of Mumbai will verify the eligibility forms. If it is found that the student is not eligible for the course, 50% of the fees will be deducted and the balance 50% will be returned to the student as per Ordinance 0.111. The cheque will be sent to the student directly by the Accounts Section of University of Mumbai.
