Issue 20 Week 10 Term 4 Tuesday 16th December 2019
It is difficult to believe that our 2019 school year has almost come to an end. We cele-
brated student achievement and the success of 2019 at our Presentation Night last
week. Thank you to all the staff, students and families that contributed to the evening
being a wonderful and fitting conclusion to 2019.
The end of a school year always brings changes in staffing. This year we will farewell
Kyle Bryant and Hannah Germantse while Beth Harrison, Toni Moore and Emma Lagan
will be taking periods of leave in 2020. We will also farewell SAS staff Megan Bryant
and Matilda Warren-Porteous. In their absence and due to the additional staffing allo-
cation that comes with an increase in student numbers, the following staff will be join-
ing us in 2020 or moving into new roles.

PINK STUMPS DAY
Year 7, 2020 families are reminded that our Year 7 Infor-
mation Night and Welcome BBQ will be held on Tuesday
February 4, 2020 from 6pm. The evening will commence
with an information session held in the Library followed by a
causal BBQ tea in our BBQ area. Families that attend will re-
ceive a free school hat. There will be a choice between our
traditional bucket hat and our new NHS cap.
Students will finish the 2019 school year tomorrow, Wednes-
day December 18. The day will commence with our tradi-
tional pink stumps cricket match followed by time at Lake
Talbot. Students are able to wear appropriate casual cloth-
ing and are reminded to be sun safe as the forecast is for
extremely hot temperatures. Buses will collect students from
Lake Talbot. All other students can leave straight from the
pool at 3pm.
The 2020 school year will commence for staff on Tuesday
January 28. Students in Years 7, 11 and 12 return on
Wednesday January 29 while all other students (Years 8, 9
and 10) are to commence on Thursday 30 January.
I wish all of our families a safe and happy Christmas and I
look forward to working with all of you for another wonderful
year in 2020.

On Wednesday 18th December we will be celebrating
the last day for students with our annual ‘Pink Stumps’
day - Teachers Vs Students Cricket match.
This will be followed by an afternoon spent at Lake Tal-
bot pool. Students will
make their way to the
pool from 11:0am. Stu-
dents are to wear their
sports uniform or some-
thing pink. All monies
raised will go towards the
McGrath Foundation.
Please support this most
worthy cause.

Monday to Friday, various part time and casual positions available.
Experience preferred but not essential.
