Early life

• Narendra Modi was born on 17th september 1950 to a family of grocers in vadnagar,Mehsana district,Gujarat

• As a child,he helped his father Damodardas sell tea at the Vadnagar

• completed schooling in vardnagar in 1967• Teachers decibibed hism as average student,but

keen debater with interest in theatre• at age 8,modi came into contact with RSS,attending

training sessions,and he was inducted as the junior cadet in RSS.

• he visited various Hindu ashrams or place of hindu religious learning founded by swami Vivekananda

• in 1978 he earned an extrmural degree in Political science through a distance education course at delhi university

• in 1983 he completed his masters of arts degree in politcal science from gujarat university

early political career

• after modi had recivied RSS training,he took position in sangh parivar,he was given charge of sangh's student wing

• During state of emergency he went underground in gujarat to evade arrest

• He was made general secretary of Gujarat lok the state.

• During this period he wrote a book tiltled sangharsh ma gujarat(gujarats struggle)in gujarathi which chronicles events,ancedotses and his personal experience

• then he was made general secretary of the BJP in gujarat,then general sceratary(organisation) of BJP

CM of gujarat

• in 2001 contested by-poll and won• become CM• 2002 riot made serious critisims on him not only

opposition party but by whole world,in interivew by new york time,he told he didn't handle media well, and blamed NDTV for riot

• after riot his cabinet was disolved • in subsequent election he won,it is been told he

used anti muslim rhetoric during his election campaign

As PM of India

• Modi invited the leaders of SAARC countries to his swearing in ceremony for taking office as PM,to strenthgen the diplomatic relationship and increase Business

• His first foriegn visit as PM of India was to bhutan.later Nepal on aug 30,2014

• on 17 sep 2014 Chinese President Xi Jinping

• Modi visitied The US in last week of sep 2014,which was decribed as as very succesfull

Now What trait Modi showed

• 1 – Dream Big, Think Big.You must have a dream, Right from his early days ,Mr Narendra Modi usually discuss about his fellow “Swayam Sevaks” about how to improve social status of common man”.

• 2- Understanding the BusinessNarendra Modi left his house at the age of 17, he called this for search of enlightenment, He travelled to Himalaya’s . As a RSS pracharak he travelled across India, and understood people and culture of this great country and learnt what this great nation wants, from farmers to corporates. This helps him growth in RSS and BJP, Later to Gujrat CM. He clearly understood huge cry against congress government’s mismanagement and corruption in all sectors in south block Delhi.

• 3 – Reading and formulate your principles and vision.• Narendra Modi was a voracious reader right from his childhood, this helps him to create his

thoughts, He was very much attracted to Swamy Vivekanda and his ideologies. This leads to his mentor Mr.Lakshmana Rao or “ Vakkeel Shab” . Mr.Lakshmana Rao introduced him to RSS and later in to mainstream politics. His reading habit helped him to develop his visions, reinvent himself and increased his confidence and personal qualities. More than 450 rallies across this great nation , each and every speech he delivered with passion and confidence. That touched the common man, he speaks from the bottom of his heart with confidence.

• 4- Be individualistic and determined with high level of curiosity.Narendra Modi always did the things in different way and he won’t follow the rat race. He was always determined to do new things, move away from comfort zone with curiosity, this helps him to develops himself and explore new opportunities.

• 7- Always lead from the front and keep all people engaged.

Narendra Modi led from front during this lok sabha election campaign. Its not BJP owned this election, people of India voted for Narendra Modi only, for a strong government and

development.

• 8 -Follow a healthy life styleAt the age of 63 Narendra Modi conducted more than 450 rallies. Every day he wakes up 5 am and do Yoga. After that he read news papers. He follows simple food habits. his favorite food is bhakhri (crispy rotis) and khichdi made in Gujarati style.He snacks on light food such as poha, idli or dosa.He fasts all nine days during Navratri every year - eating only one fruit a day during this time and drink only lemon juice. He is a pure vegetarian.
