This journey starts in Windhoek where your pilot meets you beforetaking to the Namibian skies in your private charter flight toSossusvlei over the Namib Naukluft Mountain Range. Here youcan climb up the world famous red sand-dunes and hike to DeadVlei, the stunning white clay pan - a paradise for photographers.Then head north on a scenic flight over the Skeleton Coastrevealing shipwrecks and colonies of cape fur seals beforetouching down in Damaraland to explore the rugged and dramaticlandscapes that are home to desert adapted wildlife and thehidden gems at Twyfelfontein. The grande finale is a flight intoEtosha, one of Africa's greatest game parks with its iconicshimmering salt pans.

Day by Day Itinerary

Days 1 & 2 - Private Charter Flight from Windhoek to Sossusvlei

On arrival into Windhoek, guests will be met by their Pilot from where you will fly south west to Sossusvlei over the Namib Naukluft MountainRange.

Spend 2 nights at Hoodia Desert Lodge, fully inclusive.

The lodge is set in a peaceful desert valley around 20km west of the park gate at Sesriem.

Make an early morning rise for a light breakfast and then on to the beautiful Sossusvlei area for the day. Enjoy an amazing picnic style lunchunder ancient acacia trees with a backdrop of magnificent sand dunes.

Other highlights include Dead Vlei, Dune 45, Big Daddy, Elim Dune and the Sesriem Canyon.

Days 3 & 4 - Fly North to Damaraland famed for Desert Adapted Elephants, RuggedLandscapes & the Twyfelfontein Petroglyphs

Depart Sossusvlei on a scenic flight along the Skeleton Coast to Swakopmund to refuel before heading north to Damaraland.

Spend 2 nights at Mowani Mountain Camp in a Superior View Room

Damaraland features vast khaki plains, sheer Rocky mountains and incredible desert-adapted wildlife. Explore the rugged land or sit backand enjoy the dramatic scenery.

Morning and afternoon activities include a visit to Namibia’s “open-air museum”, the Twyfelfontein petroglyphs and bushman paintings, BurntMountain, as well as the interesting Organ Pipes rock formations.

Another highlight is to go in search of a healthy population of desert adapted elephants as well as oryx, kudu, springbok, steenbok andoccasionally rare desert-adapted black rhino. Carnivores include brown hyaena, bat-eared fox and black-backed jackal.

Bird life is excellent with Namibian endemics such as Monteiro’s Hornbill and Rüpell’s Korhaan.

Days 5 & 6 - Fly to Etosha NP to Onguma Private Reserve

Your adventure continues to the Skeleton Coast and Namib Desert.

Depart Damaraland with a scenic flight along the Skeleton Coast and the Namib Dunes to the landing strip close to the Namib Naukluft Park,where you will be met for a road transfer to Hoodia Desert Lodge.

Spend 2 nights at Hoodia Desert Lodge, fully inclusive.

The lodge is set in a peaceful desert valley around 20km west of the park gate at Sesriem.

Make an early morning rise for a light breakfast and then on to the beautiful Sossusvlei area for the day. Enjoy an amazing picnic style lunchunder ancient acacia trees with a backdrop of magnificent sand dunes.Other activities, as time allows is a visit to Sesriem Canyon, a balloon safari and quad-biking, as well as guided hiking options.Also witness the sparsely distributed desert-adapted wildlife such as ostrich, springbok, oryx, spotted and brown hyaena, and bat-eared fox.

Day 7 - Breakfast & Flight back to Windhoek

Depart Etosha after your morning game viewing activity with a road transfer to the airstrip for your departure flight to Windhoek.

Consider an extension at the end of your Namibia adventure with an easy flight to explore Cape Town, South Africa’s “Mother City” or if youwould like to visit Victoria Falls and cross the border into Botswana for amazing game viewing experiences, then do ask us about theseoutstanding journeys.

Hoodia Desert LodgeHoodia Desert Lodge is a comfortable family owned and managed property, accommodating guests in 11 luxury tented chaletsunder thatch.  The chalets are spread out in a line to ensure privacy in this breath-taking location. Each ensuite chalet comes withoutdoor bathroom, mosquito nets and air conditioning.  Designed with large windows and doors that look out over beautifullandscape vistas.

The main areas of the lodge include a large lounge with an eclectic mix of furniture, including some interesting artwork as well as arestaurant serving a wide range of local and international dishes. There is also a small swimming pool.

 

Mowani Mountain CampMowani Mountain Camp has 15 rooms all with en-suite facilities and decorated in African style. Winner of an architecturaleco-design award in Germany, the organic nature of the design is felt through the camp.  Colours, textures and comforts envelopeyou, while the vaulted cathedral like thatched ceilings are Africa’s way of paying homage to nature.

Lounging by the pool tucked in amongst the rocks or relaxing on your private deck is also a wonderful way to enjoy the spectacularsurroundings.

 

Mushara OutpostMushara Outpost is a sophisticated luxury property that accommodates 16 guests in eight luxury custom tents made of wood,canvas and glass. Each tent is mounted on a wooden deck, 1.5 m above the ground, providing a different perspective of the bush. Alarge glass sliding door leads into the tent, all windows and doors are covered with fly-screens.

Large glass windows from floor to ceiling allow for plenty of air circulation during the night. Air conditioning adds an extra level ofcomfort on very warm afternoons. The open plan bathroom sports a ceiling, two large windows and a separate, enclosed toilet. Theshower cubicle is glass from top to bottom. Unzip the external canvas cover as far as you are comfortable with and your time in theshower takes on a new dimension.

The ambiance at Mushara Outpost is similar to that of a well lived-in house: friendly and extremely comfortable with a light feel to it.
