Abraham father of a great multitudeAbsalom father of peaceAcacia A tree that has fine grained wood. It is a gum arabic tree. It is a fine wood that is also

known to have medicial properties and its fine grain repels insects. The Ark of the Covenant was made from Acacia wood. If one particular species is indicated in the Old Testament it is probably the Acacia Seyal--the Arabic Seyyal--which yields the well-known gum-arabic This tree, which has finely leaves ular flowers, grows to a height of twenty feet or more, and its stem may sometimes reach two feet in thickness. The tree often assumes a characteristic umbrella-like form. The wood is close-grained and is not readily attacked by insects. It would be well suited for such purposes as described, the construction of the ark of the covenant, the altar and boarding of the tabernacle.

Nimrod began to be a mighty one on the earth. 9He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.” 10And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. 11From that land he went to Assyria and built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah, 12and Resen between Nineveh and Calah (that is the principal city).

Shinar watch of him that sleeps; the teeth of the city, tooth town, or city of wit

This name means “watch of him that sleeps; the teeth of the city”. As you can see that these are people like the lukewarm church of this day for they are determined to set their own ways of Worship and they disregard the Power of God’s Words unless they can use it for personal gain, whether it be for wealth, for position, or even for their own use of personal vengeance. Shinar was considered a hotspot of culture and wealth. It is the place where the harlot was placed in the basket with the lead lid.

Babel Confusion, mixture, anointment, consecration Gate of the Deity. Babylon has same meaning.Erech length; health; physic, to be longAccad To bind, to fortify a city, band, a vessel; pitcher; sparkCalneh Fortified dwellings, our consummation, Some says “fort of Ana” (But, who is Ana?)

Ninus is another name for Nimrod. May mean the habitation of Nimrod’s children.

Rehoboth-Ir City of Room, or big room, spaces; places” of the “watchman; city; vision”, Streets, Broad places

Calah Vigor, like new, favorable; opportunity, old age, completion

Calah is the principal city. It points to Nimrod seeking the way of eternal life on earth.

Resen Fortress, bridle or bit, jaw, halter

The Bible says that this city was between Nineveh and Calah. This indicates that Nimrod only succeeded getting his children halfway to growing in wisdom so that they could obtain whatever they desired, including living forever and not having to be dispersed as was God’s directive to the children and families of Noah. Further he was trying to lift the cure of Canaan.

Those who dwell in villages (Meaning to live in a nation where villagers are tied together but will turn on each other – as witnessed in the 1st Samuel 14 war.).

In Deut. 2:23 it reports that the Caphtorim destroyed a people called the Avvim who lived in villages as far as the Philistine city of Gaza. The meaning of the name Avvim is those who inhabit desert places. Some say the name Avvim means to distort – maybe meaning to lie.

The dispersement of the Canaanites. Canaan and his descendants were dispersed on the earth after the division. But, the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon as you go toward Gerar, as far as Gaza; then as you go toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha.

The following is a chart of the 42 camps of the Israelites and meanings from the time they left Egypt

THE 42 CAMPS OF THE ISRAELITES ON THE WAY TO THE PROMISED LAND This is a chart of Numbers 33. It lists the 42 camps that the Israelites stayed in the 40 years of the desert. The number 42 is the symbolic to the 42 months – or the Time of an Hour in the Day of the Lord. The Lord seems to say this is for the Day and hour of this Appointed Time.

These are the camps from the gathering in Rameses until the Lord leads them from Mt. Sinai.

There's only one Jezebel in the Bible. She's the notorious wife of the notorious king Ahab, daughter of Ethbaal, king of the Sidonians (1 Kings 16:31). Jezebel promotes the worship of Baal in Israel and murders the servants of YHWH (1 Kings 18:4). The prophet Elijah predicts Jezebel's death; she will be eaten by dogs (1 Kings 21:23). When Jehu is anointed king, he has Jezebel thrown out a window. She is cared for so little that by the time people go to bury her, most of her body has been carried off by dogs (2 Kings 9:35). Jezebel became such a symbol of evil that John the Revelator refers to her in Revelation 2:20.

The name Jezebel (which is properly pronounced as eezebel) is so unique in Semitic that BDB Theological Dictionary assumed it's a contraction of the Phenician name , Baalazebel, meaning Baal has exalted, and that pious scribes deleted the reference to Baal. BDB also acknowledges that in its present form the name Jezebel should have seemed to a Hebrew audience to be a construct of two part:

The first part of the name Jezebel is the particle , which in the void of context of a name may mean a lot of things: (ay) means coast or region (Isaiah 20:6); (ay) means jackal; (ay) is a common interrogative adverb meaning where; (ay) means alas (Ecclesiastes 4:10 only); and (ay) a rare adverb of negation meaning not (Job 22:30 only). BDB favors the latter because it is used often in Rabbinical literature to indicate a negation or impossibility. It should be noted that for instance the name Ichabod is also constructed from this same particle, and most probably also denotes a negation.

The second part of the name Jezebel is formed from the verb (zabal), meaning exalt or honor, and which only occurs in Genesis 30:20 in a word play on the related name Zebulun. The noun derived from this verb is

(zebul), which typically denotes a dwelling place which is designed to honor the occupant. It's used only five times in Sciptures, for God's temple (1 Kings 8:13), for the heavens (Isaiah 63:15, Habakkuk 3:11) and once for earthly mansions (Psalm 49:14).

Together the name Jezebel is probably meant to say something like Un-Exalted or Un-Husbanded (BDB Theological Dictionary); Unmarried, Chaste (NOBS Study Bible Name List) or Without Cohabitation (Jones' Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names).

Hadassah

There's only one person named Hadassah in the Bible. It's the Hebrew name of Esther. This name occurs only once, in Esther 2:7: "...and he [Mordecai] was bringing up Haddasah, that is Esther, his uncle's daughter..."

Scholars agree that the name Hadassah is a feminized form of the word (hadas), meaning myrtle. The myrtle is a perennial shrub with white flowers that were used for perfume. Since this plant is quite common in Palestine, the Bible uses the myrtle a few times symbolically (Isaiah 41:19, 55:13). Most notable is the Zechariahan scene of the horsemen who stand among the myrtle trees (Zechariah 1:8). The myrtle is also mentioned as one of the plants from which the returned Israelites made their huts for the feast of booths (Nehemiah 8:15).

BDB Theological Dictionary, NOBS Study Bible Name List and Jones' Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names unite in rare agreement and read Myrtle for the meaning of the name Hadassah .

Baal Zebub

Baal Zebub is a Philistine god at Ekron (2 Kings 1:2). Later this name came to denote satan. The name Baal Zebub transliterated into Greek gives the familiar name Beelzebub (Matthew 10:25).

The name Baal Zebub consists of two parts. Firstly the common Hebrew word Baal, meaning owner, husband. The second part of the name Baal Zebub is the word (zebub 523a), flies, from the unused root (zbb

Page 79: Names in the Bible v27f - The Pure Language of God's Truth Meaning of Names in the Bible v27f… · Abinoam father of beauty Abiram high father; father of deceit Abishag ignorance

Page: 79

523), which in cognate languages means to go hither and thither, move to and fro. Baal Zebub means Lord Of Flies

Since flies do not acknowledge authority this name is an empty title, and a good look at the behavior of flies may yield some insights in the workings of evil:

God's empire is like that of bees (the Hebrew word for bee, deborah is the feminine version of the masculine dabar, 'Word', Logos in Greek); bees have a house, like flowers, make honey, speak a language, care for offspring, are armed. Satan's 'empire' is like flies; flies are homeless, like dung and decaying flesh, make nothing, speak no language, don't care for their offspring, are not armed.

This name is a beautiful illustration of the core difference between God and satan, between the saved and the lost. The people that are saved, in the Biblical sense of the word, are part of an intertwined collection of souls called the Body of Christ. This Body is again a life form but of a higher plain; it's a singular entity with its own personality and spirit, and this mystery may perhaps be understood when we realize that every human being is in fact a huge colony of billions of single celled creatures. All these cells have at their core the same genetic blueprint, just like all members of the Body of Christ have the Word as their core. And just like these colonies that we are, have the single personality and single soul we identify ourselves with, so does the Bride of Christ.

The lost, however, are not connected, although they may readily huddle up and imagine they are united. The lost care only about themselves, like flies that scurry around on a carcass, and engage in business and science and the pursuit of happiness just like the saved. But the lost do not form an amalgamation with a single soul. Satan is called the ruler of this latter group, but since the group does not subject to a central rule, he can only cause greater chaos.

Zabud

The name Zabud occurs only once in the Bible. Zabud is a son of Nathan, a priest, and the friend of king Solomon (1 Kings 4:5).

The name Zabud comes from the verb (zabad), meaning to give or bestow. This verb comes with the noun (zebed), meaning a gift or endowment. These two words occur only one time in the Bible, both in the

scene where Leah is about to name her son Zebulun, "God has endowed me with a good gift..." (Genesis 30:20). Another, much more common verb that means to give is (natan - see the name Nathan).

For a meaning of the name Zabud, NOBS Study Bible Name List reads Bestowed. Jones' Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names proposes the rather redundant Gift Bestowed. BDB Theological Dictionary does not translate this name.

Other names that make use of the verb zabad are Elzabad, Jehozabad, Jozabad, Zabad, Zabbud, Zabdi, Zabdiel, Zebadiah, Zebedee and Zebidah.

Jehoiakim

There's only one man named Jehoiakim in the Bible, although two contracted forms occur as well: Jokim and Joiakim.

Jehoiakim is the son and successor of king Josiah of Judah, and his mother is called Zebidah. His name was actually Eliakim but Pharaoh Neco, who had deposed and imprisoned king Josiah, changed it to Jehoiakim (2 Kings 23:34-36). And if his subjection to the Pharaoh wasn't enough, king Nebuchadnezzar swoops in and subdues Jehoiakim for another three years. His son Jehoiachin assumes the throne after he dies, which happened after he was taken to Babylon according to 2 Chronicles 36:6 and Daniel 1:2, although the prophet Jeremiah foretold for him a donkey's burial out of the gates of Jerusalem (22:19). Jeremiah foretold some more things too, and had Baruch pen them down and read them in public. King Jehoiakim became so upset by this that he cut Jeremiah's scroll to pieces and burned it (36:23).

The name Jehoiakim consists of two elements:

1) The name , Jah, which in turn is an abbreviated form of the Tetragrammaton , YHWH, or Yahweh.

As shown in Mark 5:41, this verb also exists in Aramaic. Jesus uses it when He raises Jairus' daughter from the dead by saying, "talitha kum".

For a meaning of the name Jehoiakim, NOBS Study Bible Name List reads Yahweh Raises Up and BDB Theological Dictionary offers the similar Yah Raiseth Up. Jones' Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names proposes The Lord Will Set Up.

Other names derived of the verb qum are Adonikam, Ahikam, Azrikam, Adonikam, Jakim, Jekameam, Jekamiah, Jokmeam, Kamon, Kemuel and Koa, and perhaps Achim.

Zebidah— Zebudah

The name Zebidah (or Zebudah as some manuscripts have it) occurs only one time in the Bible. She is the daughter of Pedaiah of Rumah, wife of king Josiah of Judah and the mother of king Jehoiakim (2 Kings 23:36).

The name Zebidah consists of two elements, the final part being , Jah, which in turn is an abbreviated form of the Tetragrammaton; the name of the Lord: YHWH.

scene where Leah is about to name her son Zebulun, "God has endowed me with a good gift..." (Genesis

30:20). Another, much more common verb that means to give is (natan - see the name Nathan).

For a meaning of the name Zebidah, NOBS Study Bible Name List proposes Given. Jones' Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names reads a rather redundant Bestowing A Gift. BDB Theological Dictionary does not translate this name.

Related names are Elzabad, Jehozabad, Jozabad, Zabad, Zabbud, Zabdi, Zabdiel, Zabud, Zebadiah and Zebedee.

Zion

Zion was originally a Jebusite stronghold located in or near Jerusalem or is equal to Jerusalem (2 Samuel 5:7). King David captures this stronghold and it is renamed City Of David. David sets up the tabernacle there and Solomon retrieves it from there to place the ark and utensils in the temple. The prophet Isaiah mentions that YHWH dwells on Mount Zion (8:18) and later writers relate the name Zion to the eternal Jerusalem (Hebrews 12:22) and heaven (Revelation 14:1).

Because Zion was originally not Israeli, the name Zion comes to us probably from a language other than Hebrew. HAW Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament mentions an Arabic root s-w-n (under 1910), to protect, defend, which may give Zion the meaning of fortress. Others (says HAW Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament) suggest derivation from a root saha, be bald.

Spelled the way it is, however, the name Zion is identical to the Hebrew word (sayon) meaning place of dryness, from the assumed root (syh). This verb's derivation (siya), meaning dryness, drought, occurs in Psalm 105:41.

Perhaps the notion of a dry place taps into the creation account, and specifically the third day, or in the Noahic flood account. A dry place is not a place where people die of thirst, but rather a place where the sea is no more, after it has given all her treasures (Revelation 21:1).

On the Biblical canvass, the name Zion means Dry Place. Jones' Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names reads Very Dry. NOBS Study Bible Name List goes with the Arabic cognate mentioned above, and reads Fortress.

Another name that means Dryness is Horeb.

Mesopotamian Gods

from BabylonRaising Website

Many gods have what sounds like the same role. Usually, these are all the same deity, just different epithets of the one deity. For instance, earth goddesses –Ki, Ninhursaga, Ninki, are all the same goddesses just different aspects.

Many of the deities overlap Sumerian and Babylonian pantheons. The Babylonians adopted most of the Sumerian pantheon when they invaded and took over Sumeria. The names are epithets, so it didn’t really matter.

Remember that during this time period, demons were not necessarily bad things; they were spirits with a job to do. Demon is taken from a Greek word, daemon, meaning “spirit” which is neither good nor bad.

Most of the myths that are attached to some of the names were taken from the The Electronic Text Corpus of Sumerian Literature. This is a British site, at the University of Oxford. There are a few minor variations in pronunciations: “c” is “sh”, “j” is “g”.

Absu: Babylonian, god of the underwater ocean. Usually seen as a concept rather than a being. Consort to Tiamat. Adad: Babylonian, god of storms. A version of Ninurta. Bocheru

There's only one man named Bocheru in the Bible. Bocheru, son of Azel, is one of the last mentioned in the genealogy of Benjamin (1 Chronicles 8:38). The name Bocheru comes from the root verb (bakar):

It's not uncommon for a name to exists in two forms, with or without the final waw, and Bocheru may simply be a playful variant of the name Becher. The waw may also be transposed on an original possessive yod, which makes the name Bocheru a playful variant of the name Bichri.

For a meaning of the name Bocheru, NOBS Study Bible Name List reads First Born and Jones' Dictionary of Old Testament Proper Names reads His First Born. BDB Theological Dictionary doesn't translate.

Another name that comes from the root bakar is Becorath.

2 Hebrew acronym for "Ani Hashem Rof'echa": "I am the L-rd your healer". The initials of these three Hebrew words, Ani Hashem Rofe'echa, are Aleph-Yod-Resh, the letters of the word Iyar./Month of Divine healing. The month of Iyar is about healing or refining ourselves.

Simanu 3 - Babylonian name: Simanu = Brick-making. - Akkadian name: Simanu, Sivanu - Canaanite meaning: appoint, mark - Sumerian name: zib(2)

Sivan / iyvan / Si'-van

3 (1) Rabbi Yizchak Luria (The "Ari", 1534-1572) opinion: the sense associated with Sivan is the power to "walk", meaning to move and accelerate in our service of G-d. During Sivan, Jews receive the ability to walk, strongly and steadily, on two legs. They receive the Halacha, Jewish Law, whose name is derived from the word for walking, 'halicha'; (2) The Vilna Gaon s Opinion (Rabbi Elijah ben Solomon Zalman or Rabbi Eliyahu the Gaon of Vilna, 1720-1797, The "Grah"): Sivan is the month of "vision". In Sivan everybody saw the

revelation on Mount Sinai./The Giving of the Torah to Moses on Mount Sinai by G-d.

Du'uzu 4 - Babylonian name: Du'uzu, Dumuzi, Dumuzu = Tammuz or "taking (i.e. scattering) seed". - Akkadian name: Tamuzu, Enkidu - Canaanite meaning: from Akkadian, meaning "vegetation G-d" - The name "Tammuz" seems to have been derived from the Akkadian form "Tammuzi", based on early Sumerian "Damu-zid". The later standard Sumerian form, "Dumu-zid", in turn became "Dumuzi" in Akkadian (An ancient and Eastern branch of the Semitic languages). In Babylonia, the month Tammuz was established in honor of the eponymous god Tammuz, who originated as an Akkadian shepherd-G-d. Tammuz became known as an ancient nature deity that was

Tammuz / Tamuz / Thammuz / Thamuz

4 (1) Kabbalah: Rabbi Yizchak Luria (The "Ari", 1534-1572) opinion: the sense associated with the month of Tammuz, is "vision". The main part of the spies' trip to see the Land of Israel took place during Tammuz; (2) The Vilna Gaon s Opinion (Rabbi Elijah ben Solomon Zalman or Rabbi Eliyahu the Gaon of Vilna, 1720-1797, The "Grah"): in Tammuz, the spies "walked" in the land of Israel. Another meaning for Tammuz is that it is a corruption of the name Dumuzi, the Akkadian sun-god. Scholarly commentaries also explain that the root of Tammuz means "heat". The idol was called this because it would be heated so that its eyes would appear to tear (they were made from a material which would melt). Also, another explanation is that the month of Tammuz, the main month of the summer, is connected to "heat"./Heat, Sin of the Golden Calf.

worshiped in Babylonia. A G-d of agriculture and flocks, he personified the creative powers of spring.

Abu 5 - Babylonian name: Abu = Torches or "Fiery" Month. - Akkadian name: Abu - Canaanite meaning: 'ab, hostile, bulrushes- Sumerian name: ab-ba

Av / 'av 5 The word "Av" literally means "father" (or "Menachem-Av", the "consoler of Av") in Hebrew. It derives from the root which means "to will" or "to desire."/This name is used to express the understanding that even before we are ready to think of the approaching "Days of Awe," our "Forgiving Father [read Parent]" is already forgiving us.

Ululu 6 - Babylonian name: Ulūlu = Purification or the "Mission Of Ishtar". - Akkadian name: ululu, Ululu, elulu - Canaanite meaning: to shout for joy - Sumerian name: a-la, la-la, ul

Elul / 'Eluwl 6 This is the month of the true birth of Jesus that was likely on the 24th day of the 25th of Elul, for those are the 2nd and the 3rd Day of the 4th week of the Creator’s Calendar. And it best agrees with Scriptural events. One rabbinical interpretation is that the word "Elul" means "search." Elul is a time to search our hearts. During the month of Elul we "search" our hearts for evil and repent in preparation for Rosh Hashanah. The Targum on the words 'losur osah' (to search it [the land)] Bamidbar (13:32) translates "Le'allelah yas ar'ah". From this it is derived that the word "Elul" means "search" or "inspect", alluding to the nature of our task during this month. Another rabbinical interpretation of "Elul": "Elul" means "returned with," specifically with those Jews who returned to Israel after the 70-year Exile in Babylonia./Repentance

Tashritu 7 - Babylonian name: Tashritu, Tišritum = Beginning or Beginnings (ie. the start of the 2nd half-year) or the "Resplendent Mound" (The 'mound' is a

- Tishrei / Tishri / Tisrei / Tisri (Post-Exilic) - Eisanim / 'Eythaniym / Ethanim (Pre-Exilic)

7 One opinion says that "Tishrei" means "to begin", for the beginning of Tishrei meant that it was the beginning of an agricultural year or farming year. Another opinion states that the word "Tishrei" means apparently derives from the root word "seru", which means "to begin". This "beginning" is in reference to the beginning of the autumn harvest and the commercial

reference to the temples which were erected on natural or artificial eminences.). - Akkadian name: tasritu, Tashritu - Canaanite meaning: begin, dedicate - Sumerian name: a...ru, -u4-sar - Sumerian meaning: new moon.

year. Still another opinion states that "Tishrei" derives from the Akkadian word "Tashritu" or from the Aramaic word "sherei" meaning "to begin". The Chassidic founder, the Baal Shem Tov, noted that the word "Tishrei" has the connotation of forgiveness, and so he avoided mentioning the word "Tishrei". Chassidic Sages also stated that the word "Tishrei" also means "released" and they explained that the month was so named because in it G-d "releases and lets go all the sins of the Jewish people". However, since Shabbos is a time when we transcend totally above sin, to the point where it is not proper to even request its forgiveness or atonement, therefore the Baal Shem Tov who was speaking in the context of "Shabbos Mevorchim" (the Shabbat before the new month; literally, a Shabbat in which we bless the upcoming month.), referred to the month as the seventh month. The Kol Bo ("Kol Bo" means "All is in it". The "Kol Bo" is an important anonymous work on Jewish law, first printed in Naples, Italy, in 1490.) states that the word "Tishrei" is the Arama'ic word for "You will forgive", a clear enough hint as to the essence of the month.

Arach-Samna /

Arakhsamna /

Arachsamna

8 - Babylonian name: Samna, Arach-Samna / Arakhsamna / Arachsamna = Laying Foundations or Eighth month or Opening Of Dams (for the irrigation of the fields.). - Akkadian name: arahsamnu, Arachsamma - Canaanite meaning: drop or rainy season

- Cheshvan / Marcheshvan / Heshvan / Marheshvan / Heshwan / keswan (Post-Exilic) - Bul / Buwl (Pre-Exilic)

8 The root of the word Cheshvan is "chash", which in Hebrew means "quiet". The very name of the month commands us to be still, to be quiet. After the building up of the dramatic events of the past two months, Elul and Tishrei, to the "Day of Judgement", Rosh Ha-Shanah, when the entire world stands at attention in front of G-d, the next month of Cheshvan is a period of quiet from all the tumult. In Tractate Sanhedrin of the Talmud, it is explained that Cheshvan or Marcheshvan means "the movement of the lips". During the month of Tishrei, when a Jew is consumed with praying and intense study of the Torah, his mouth becomes a conduit for G-dliness. The impact of these holy vibrations of the lips are still felt in the

month of Cheshvan or Marcheshvan, and G-d willing, throughout the year to come.

Kislimu 9 - Babylonian name: Kislimu = name is of uncertain origin; possibly: "Copious Fertility". - Akkadian name: kislimu, kisliwu, Kissilimu - Canaanite meaning: uncertain

Kislev / Kiclev / Chisleu

9 One opinion states that the word "Kislev" shares the same root as the Hebrew word "kislah", which means, strangely enough, both folly and trust. In other words, the meaning of kislah depends upon whom you trust. Another opinion states that the name Kislev derives from the Hebrew word for "security" and "trust." There are two states of trust, one active and one passive, both of which are manifest in the month of Kislev. The miracle of Chanukah reflects the active trust (I.E. "Bitachon", meaning "confidence" in Hebrew) of the Hasmoneans or Chashmonaim (I.E. Maccabees or Maacabim) to stand up and fight against the Hellenistic empire (and its culture). Kislev's sense of sleep reflects the passive trust that G-d's providence always guards over Israel. The Kabbalistic view is similar: The word "Kislev" derives from one of the Hebrew words for "trust". Trust can take both an active and passive form, and Kislev embodies both these aspects. Another opinion states that the month of Kislev has always been associate with much joy and happiness, for it is in that month that we celebrate the festive Holiday of Lights - Chanukah. This opinion states that the word Kislev has many meanings, and one of them is to give charity with a full heart , teaching us that the best way to realize the joy of our holidays is to share our blessings with others. A Reform-Jewish opinion states that Kislev, the eighth month, is thought to mean the season of mud and rain, being one of the rainiest months in Israel.

Tebetu 10 - Babylonian name: Tebetu, Ṭebētum = (the) Forthcoming of Water or violent rains. - Akkadian

Tevet / Teveth / tava' / taval

10 Tevet means "ten" in Hebrew; Tevet shares the same root as the Hebrew word "tov", which means "good." However, in this month, we commemorate many sad events, including the Tenth of Tevet. A Kabbalistic opinion states the

name: tebetu, Tebetu - Canaanite meaning: sink, dip

following: The letter ayin means "eye" in Hebrew. The month of Tevet is the month of the rectification and nullification of the "evil eye". The word Tevet itself comes from the Hebrew word "tov", meaning "good," and referring to "tov ayin", "the goodly eye" (the source of the power of blessing, as it is said: "the goodly eye shall bless"). This rectification starts with the gazing at the Chanukah candles. All destructive process begins with the "evil eye" of hatred, the hatred of the profane to the holy (the secret of ten, the holy number).

Shabatu 11 - Babylonian name: Shabatu, Šabaṭu = Rain or "Destructive Rain". - Akkadian name: Shabatu - Canaanite meaning: uncertain - Sumerian name: a...d

Shevat / Se'-bat 11 Shevat means “Staff”, “Rod”, and “High Tribe”. (The Way of the Staff is that it is symbolic of a Shooting Star – like the Lord looking down the shaft of the staff to deliver His Light to the point He determines for those who seek Him. The delivery of Greater Wisdom of His Words is the promise to those who seek the knowledge of His Truth in the month of Shevat, for the full measure of the Water of the Lord will be gifted to the them.) The number 11 is the hidden power of God. There were 11 Good sons of Jacob (Reuben defiled his Father’s bed). In them the blessings of the sons were found. There were 11 Good disciples. and in them the Words were first given by the Lord to take to all the world, but starting with the tribe of Israel, meaning that the Lord knew that the nation of His people would reject the testimony of Truth just as He foretold in Matthew 21:43-44, and as Paul testified of that fact as a result in Acts 28:28. Kabbalah: The word Shevat itself transforms to Shabbat (since the two letters tet and tav, both letters of the tongue, are phonetically interchangeable). Another Kabbalistic opinion states that the word "shevat" is related to the Hebrew word for a staff or rod. A staff can be used as a symbol of power, or as a cane to lean on. It serves a master. This is an underlying

theme of the month. Still another Kabbalistic opinion states that the word "shevat" means a branch or a stick, yet there are many other words in Hebrew that express the same thing: makeil (staff), mateh (rod), eitz (a piece of wood), etc. Sheivet, by contrast, refers to a branch that is soft. According to this opinion, it is obvious that their Kabbalistic Rabbis chose this name for the month because on the Fifteenth of the month all Jews will celebrate Tu B'Shevat, the New Year for Trees. And another Kabbalistic opinion states that the word "Shevat" is also related to the concept of a royal rod or staff. In the same way that a king is blessed with riches and all of life's pleasures are accessible to him, so too is every Jew considered a prince or princess, deserving of the very best. This is reflected in the delicacy and assortment of fruits we eat on Tu B'Shevat. Also, just as Moses disciplined the Jews with love and compassion rather than severity, we must always temper our authority (our "royal scepter") with kindness and concern. This opinion also notes an interesting connection that exists between the month of Shevat and the mezuza. Every letter in Hebrew has a numerical value. If you add up the letters of the word Shevat (shin-veit-tet) it equals 314, the same as Sha-dai (shin-daled-yud), one of G-d's Names. This Name is found on the outside of the mezuza, our protection from harm. In the month of Shevat, when we are blessed with a great deal of affluence (as demonstrated on Tu B'Shevat), we must ask G-d for special protection to guard us from taking our good fortune for granted. A Jew must always recognize his special mission in life, that G-d has put him here to refine and elevate the world for a higher purpose. When we live up to this responsibility and take up our "royal scepter," we will indeed serve as a "light unto the nations" and have a positive influence on all our

surroundings.

Adaru 12 - Babylonian name: Adār or Adaru or Addaru = Adar = Threshing or "grain-cutting". - Akkadian name: adaru or Addaru - Canaanite meaning: to be dark - Sumerian name: e

Adar / Addar / Ataroth-Adar / se'or

12 The great gift of Adar is that it is the month of the fishers of men and the threshers for the harvest of the Judgment. Remember that Purim was the time that the evil leaders of Babylon were going to destroy all the His people. But, because they fasted three days and then did the 7 days of Good Works by Esther the Lord intervened (This is the same as the requirement of the Lord in the Time of Noah, and in the instruction for this day in Joel 2:12-20, for a sacred assembly is 7 days, and the calling of the Lord is 3 days.). Thus, Adar should be the month of the Separation Judgment of the Winter Season of the Lord when He hears the people and will intervene to overcome the 5th Beast Kingdom of the United Nations and the Little Horn that speaks great words of Satan and his rebellion, that is the Crowne Trust (Little Horn is headed by two people – a King and a Queen – Rev. 18 reveals this, for she sits as Queen and will not be a widow, for she believes in her powers and in the words of the king of her kingdom – and it is not her husband, for it is the person in charge of all the treasuries of gold and silver(Daniel 11:43-45). The Queen is Queen Elizabeth. She is the modern day harlot and Empress of Roman Empire (She was made ruler of the seven seas by UN Agreement secretly signed on August 8, 2008; and thus the enslaver of the seven continents). She is the mother of harlotry which can be seen in the idols on her Gold State Coach, the Order of the Garter, the dragon idols in her city and at Windsor Chapel and Castle, and the dragon room at the center of Buckingham Palace. Even the weather Vane in London Church is made with a winged dragons holding up both sides of her shield. The river barge used Poseidon to support both sides of her seal. And she oversaw the pagan occult ceremonies of the Summer Olympics,

and it goes on and on. The seal of her sovereign city is set by winged dragons; and Jacob Rothschild the King of the North (King of the World), for he controls all the treasures of gold and silver in all nations, completing the great and pompous words spoken by the family name founder Amschel Meyer Bauer (Rothschild family name creator – Rothschild means the Red Shield.). His pompous words were “Let me issue the currencies of a nation and I do not care who writes it’s laws. That is speaking in defiance of God, for He creates the nations and appoints the Laws. Together they control the Crowne Trust and it dictates the laws of the nations, and it also claims the rights of the souls and bodies of all people and trade in them unlawfully as the Lord warned in Rev. 18:13. And they are operate the Global Genocide ). The word Adar is cognate to the Hebrew word "adir", meaning "strength". Adar is the month of good fortune for the Jewish people. According to this Kabbalistic opinion, their rabbinic sages say of Adar: "Its mazal (fortune) is strong". Another Kabbalistic opinion says that "Adar" means "exalted", "praised", "power", and "strength". It refers to Tehillim 93:4, where it says: "the L-rd is (Adir) mighty on High". This opinion goes on to further quote the Talmud in Beitzah 15a: "He who desires his property to be preserved for him should plant therein an Adar (type of tree), for it says: 'The L-rd is mighty on High.'". This opinion states that just as we decrease our joy because we are separated from the Shechina in the month of Av, so too in Adar we rejoice because the whole month is a time when the Shechina is close to us. The Midrash says that when Hashem Yisbarach (a name for G-d) commanded Moshe Rabbeinu (a name for Moses) to construct the Mishkan (tent), He made the following request: "asei Li kiton echad v'edor

beineichem" (make for Me a small chamber (I.E. the Mishkan) so that I may live in your midst). The Sefas Emes, quoting his grandfather (the Chidushei HaRim), points out that the word "v'edor" ("and I will dwell" in Hebrew) is related to the word "adar" - the very name of this month implies that it is a time when the Shechina dwells among us "v'edor beineichem". Another opinion, that of Rashi, explains that the reference to Adar in Beitzah 15a means "continuity and strength" in that context. A Reform-Jewish opinion states that the word "Adar" means "beauty", as in the beauty of the season contained in Adar, Spring.
