How to Annotate you designs
MaterialsWhat will you make the product from and WHY?EG. The product would be made from MDF because it is low cost, easy to shape and can be used with a variety
of finishes.
Always include the following when annotating in an exam question :
SafetyWhat are the health and safety issues of this product? How would you prevent them and
protect the user?EG. This product may have small parts I need to ensure this is mentioned on the packaging and provide an age
limit for the product.

provide a gloss finish and protect the product from liquids.

and WHY?Would you use a type of joint / adhesive / or
another method?EG. I would join the pieces together using PVA glue and
leave them to dry in a vice for added strength.
