• Presenting a professional Image in a salon - these are mandatory units in both the Award and Certificate

• Nail art

• Shampooing and Conditioning

• Functional Skills Maths or English

• Work Experience.

ABOUT NAIL, HAIR AND BEAUTY

Those who work in the Hair and Beauty sector provide an important service for their clients. The UK Hair and Beauty industry provides personal services such as hairdressing, beauty therapy, body therapy and massage. For those of you who like glitz and glamour the hair and beauty sector also covers professional services such as make-up to film and television. If this is the career for you the course will give you the knowledge, understanding and especially the skills required to prepare for work in hairdressing or beauty therapy.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Customers must be aged 16-19*. No formal qualifications are required, but you will be asked to complete an English and Maths assessment, as we want to ensure that we offer you the correct level of support.

WHAT’S NEXT?

You can progress onto a course at a higher level, or into employment.
