Another odd thing that is done is, using the nails clean surfaces by removing dirt or wax or other such

chemicals.

Looking after the nails:

To shape nails it is appropriate to use an emery board. This is a better option as compared to use of file

for nail shaping.

It is important to keep nails moisturized with lotions that contain Vitamin E and collagen.

Do not use nail polish remover. By using this often, the chemicals and alcohol result in nails becoming

brittle.

It is necessary to wear gloves when you are gardening. Gloves are also important when handling harsh

detergents and cleaning agents.

Make sure to trim the toe nails in a straight line. Remember that if nails are cut in deep curves, the result

can result can be split nails. It is essential to avoid ingrown nails and prevent toes from getting infected.

When you want nails to look pretty, go for dipping the nails and toes in warm olive oil for 15-20 minutes.

This can be done 3 to 4 times in one week. Such treatment results in nails giving a healthy hue and they

are no longer brittle.

To make the nails look bright, it is necessary to dip the nails in a cup of warm water. Add to it a spoon of

fresh lemon juice and brightens results and stains go away. To add to the strength of nails and also make

them pretty, use mustard oil. Dip nails in mustard oil for around 15 minutes and then massage the area

around the nails. This enables more blood circulation.

Make Cuticles look good

Cuticles is the skin at the base of the finger from where the nail grows and emerges. There is a tendency

for the Cuticles to look dry and irregular.

By application of a softener to this area of the nail the dry skin can be massaged away.

One more method is to rub the cuticles with a soft towel after soaking it in warm soapy water. Through

this method the white membrane is removed effectively.

Infections caused by fungus

Fungal infection results in nails and toenails giving a yellowish look. This look can be brownish too. Such

infections affect the toenails more than finger nails.
