the economy and welfare of the Netherlands is inextricably linked to aviation. although a small country, its strong international orientation and highly developed level of expertise has led to its having a strong
aircraft industry delivering products for virtually every aeroplane that is currently flying or being built. During the 20th century, 1600 airliners were built by the Dutch and its national carrier KLM has been in operation since 1919. every year, more than 50 million passengers fly from schiphol airport to 317 destinations. the Netherlands has a leading position in europe in the area of airport innovation and logistics and, associated with that, also a thriving industry in aircraft maintenance. in addition to its strong position in civil aviation, the Netherlands is also a partner in the development of the f35 and parts of this military aircraft are produced in this country.

Maintenance is in the genes of Dutch companies. it has been said that this has to do with how the dykes needed constant maintenance against the ever present threat of the sea. More than 10,000 employees from 60 companies perform work in all areas of MrO: Maintenance, repair & Overhaul. research and technological developments in areas that include predictive maintenance, robotics, new logistics concepts and Non Destructive testing (NDt) ensure that the Dutch continue to have a leading position in this segment of the market.

in 1996, the fokker aviation company decided to stop manufacturing aircraft and to focus instead on its role as a supplier. for fokker and other members of the highly qualified supply chain and expert institutions, this meant going from the building of aeroplanes to rebuilding itself as a global supplier. it proved to be extremely successful. their expertise as the integrator of aeroplanes turned out to be an excellent basis to realise this new role. Dutch companies now design and make aeroplane parts for almost every aeroplane that can be found.

GENERAL CONDITIONS OF SALE

1. APPLICABILITY
These general conditions of sale are applicable to all quotations and/or contracts
of sale for the supply of goods and/or services by Cimcool Europe BV – UK
Branch (“CE UK”). No variation shall be binding unless accepted by CE-UK in
writing.
2. ACCEPTANCE
a Quotations do not bind CE UK and no contract shall come into effect unless and
until an order placed by a customer is accepted by CE UK in writing.
b These conditions shall apply to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions
whether express or implied, save for CE UK’s liability under section 12 of the
Sale of Goods Act, 1979 and such other provisions where the customer deals as
a consumer as cannot be excluded.
c No change to or cancellation of an order which has been accepted by CE UK
shall be permitted unless such change or cancellation is accepted be CE UK in
writing and subject to payment of such charges (including an element for lost
profit) as CE UK shall reasonably determine.
3. PRICES
a Prices are ex works, CE UK’s warehouse Coventry, and include packing unless
otherwise specified.
b Prices are subject to change without notice at any time and the price charged
shall (subject to 3 c) be the price ruling at the date of dispatch.
c If dispatch is delayed beyond the date given in CE UK’s written acceptance
through any fault of its own, price increases after that date will not apply.
d The customer shall be entitled to withdraw from the contract in the event of a
price increase, but only if CE UK received notice of withdrawal by telefax or
telegram forthwith upon receipt by the customer of notification of the price
increase, and in any event within 5 days of such receipt.
