Undergrad

Mirdamad is a boulevard in Tehran which became a popular cultural and shopping place during the last decade. As the growing population of the city

moves northwards, Mirdamad has a brilliant opportunity to deveolp.

Design of a new local bookstore chal-lenged two aspects: space and height restrictions and a cre- ative idea. The new design make the street level portion of the lot available to the public in order to engage the city with the building spatialy and socially. The building is a continu-ous ramp-surface which grows upwards. Individuals move slowly on the ramps with the book-shelves on two sides, stand to see them and sit in a corner to read some pages. The route ends on the top with a roof garden which folds on the building on the same height as neighbors. The glass fa-çades are covered by a perforated metal texture with different openings for different angles of sunlight radiation. The building is docked beside the other building blocks looking to
