During this time each year, Our Unified Vision bring us together to be inspired by the legacy of NABA, acknowledge the commitment of our professional members and sponsors and celebrate the successes of our students. On behalf of the undergraduate student chapter, thank you to our corporate sponsors who see the value of diversity in the work place. The pre-professional opportunities you provide our students and your generous financial contributions to NABA are investments in our future. Given our students are following the footsteps of our outstanding professional members who have paved the way, we are confident they will contribute to your organizations and in their chosen fields. The NABA New York Professional chapter members and Baruch Alumni exemplify dedication. Dedication to our organization; dedication to our students; and dedication to their careers. Merci! Pat Johnson once reminded me that NABA is a lifetime commitment. The NABA Baruch Student Chapter E-board is a fine example of excellence. Under her leadership, Kenisha inspired a shared vision and the team and organization made many strides. We exceeded our membership target, observed an increase in members’ engagement with the chapter and an increase in pre-professional opportunities for our members. Kenisha Subero President, NABA Baruch College Chapter

Greetings NABA Family, Faculty, Corporate Sponsors, and Guests: It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our 36th Annual Awards dinner on the behalf of the NABA Baruch executive board and members as we commend and recognize the key contributors to this year’s successes. This year’s theme is “Strategic Leadership: Creating a Unified Vision.” The NABA Baruch executive board has focused on instilling in our members, not only the tools needed to become professionally acute, but the sense of duty to give back and honor our organization’s motto Lifting As We Climb. Our chapter continues to be at the forefront in aiding African-American students on the Baruch campus to pursue their academic and professional endeavors. It has been my privilege to watch our members exhibit empowerment, leadership, service, and commitment and utilize the skills they have acquired at NABA events to secure internships and full-time positions with top firms. I am honored to have served as the President of this illustrious chapter. The smallest token of my appreciation is not enough to showcase the gratitude I feel from NABA’s contribution to my personal, academic and career goals. This chapter has guided me on a pathway that not only uplifts my professional aspirations, but one that has urged me to be a leader within my community. I would like to thank the NABA New York professional chapter for their devotion to the success of our members. They have continued to provide the support and training our members need for college and for Corporate America. Our corporate sponsors have gone above and beyond this year to provide opportunities to our members and because of this we will like to acknowledge them and show appreciation to the value they place on diversity and the changing corporate environment. The new leadership from the upcoming executive board has dedicated themselves to this chapter. I am most certain that they will maintain NABA Baruch’s robust culture on and off campus and further the legacy our chapter’s previous leadership have been able to build. Ken Bouyer EY Americas Director of Inclusiveness Recruiting

Ken is the EY Americas Director of Inclusiveness Recruiting. In this role, he is responsible for developing and implementing the global EY organization’s recruiting strategy to build and attract diverse and inclusive talent pools for member firms in the Americas. Diversity at EY is defined broadly and includes gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, generational differences, and more. Fostering an inclusive work culture where all individuals are valued for their differences and can achieve their full potential is a global priority and a business imperative for EY. The organization strives to reflect the changes in world demographics, taking into account the new mix of cultures and individual characteristics that build its talent pool. Ken frequently serves as an EY and industry group spokesperson on both diversity and recruiting trends at a range of events and with leading media outlets. Ken has served in a variety of roles since joining the Assurance practice of Ernst & Young LLP in 1990. Prior to his current role, Ken was a Director in the firm’s Advisory Services practice, supporting various global internal audit clients. He continues to serve the firm’s clients in Advisory Services today. Ken is currently the Chair of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (AICPA) National Commission on Diversity and Inclusion. Additionally, he is a Board Member and the Chair of the Audit Committee for the American Accounting Association. Ken also serves on various university accounting and dean’s advisory boards. He is a lifetime member of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) and the ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting) organization. Previously, Ken was a Board Member and International President of Beta Alpha Psi. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Federation for the Schools of Accountancy (FSA). Ken is a recipient of the FSA's "Practitioner Service Award" for his distinguished service to the profession of accounting and accounting education. He is also a recipient of NABA’s Presidential Award for his extraordinary accomplishments and leadership in the accounting profession and his commitment to and support of NABA. Ken has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Manhattan College in Riverdale, New York. He is a Certified Internal Auditor and AICPA member. Ken currently resides in New Jersey with his wife, Shorn, and their daughter, Kelsie.

L. Matthew Perry Senior Manager, Finance and Risk Business Service at Accenture

L. Matthew Perry is a Senior Manager in the Finance and Risk Business Services practice at Accenture. He is part of the North America Capital Markets Leadership team and has overall responsibility for client relationships and program execution within the Corporate Investment Banking of one of the largest US financial services firms. He also serves as the People Advocacy Action Committee Lead for NY. In this capacity he is responsible for providing development, mentoring and networking opportunities for all local and traveling resources working with the New York metro community. Before moving into consulting, Matthew has spent eight years working in various roles within the financial services industry and has held leadership positions at bulge bracket firms such as Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch & UBS. Matthew is also founder and currently the Managing Director of LMP Real Estate Partners, an investment LLC focused on commercial real estate investments, development and Hotel Ownership. He also serves on the Multi-Cultural Board, for Diageo, NA, which is the world’s leading publicly traded premium drinks business in over 180 markets around the world. Matthew is a graduate of Bernard M. Baruch College, City University of New York in 2002 where he obtained a BBA in Finance. He has been a member of NABA since his sophomore year at College where he held numerous positions on the NABA Baruch Board. He has also served in a number of capacities in the NABA NY professional chapter, Eastern Region and National board. Some key roles include: NABA NY Chapter President, National Director & Chair of the National Student Member Services Committee, National SCREP Chair, and Eastern Region Director of Student Member Services. He was awarded the NABA NY 2004 Member of the Year Award and awarded Chapter President of the Year in 2006 and 2007. As a NABA Lifetime member, Matthew continues to follow NABA’s motto of “Lifting as We Climb” by serving as mentor to numerous students & young professionals.
