An arboretum is an outdoor museum for plants and, like any museum, it needs interpretation for visitors to get the most out of what it has to offer. That is why we created this tour: to inform the public on their own time, anytime. Originally designed as part of a master’s degree project by a student in the department of Agronomy and Horticulture, the tour utilizes a voicemail system in a way that had never been tried before. This tour is just the beginning. We look forward to bringing you additional tours of East Campus and the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. You can always press the * key after a recording start s to go back to the previous menu from any option or stop number. You can enter an option at any time during the recording. ® The University of Nebraska–Lincoln is an equal opportunity educator and employer with a comprehensive plan for diversity. Use your own phone at your own pace to take this free* walking tour of the Earl G. Maxwell Arboretum and enjoy the gardens and learn some East Campus history. Just dial (402) 472--5555
