Earthquake Hazard Assessment based on a 50 years return period from the "Nepal Hazard Risk Assessment. Part 1 and 2. ADPC" document. GADM database of Global Administrative Areas, 2014. The present map shows basic topographic features such as transportation network, POIs, urban areas (BUAs) and administrative boundaries, affected by different levels of earthquake hazard assessment (50 years return period). These basic topographic features are derived by means of visual thematic interpretation of pan-sharpened Pleiades imagery of 17/05/2013, 12/06/2013 and 17/11/2013 for the cities of Jaleshwor, Janakpur and Lahan, respectively, and SPOT imagery of 17/10/2012. The earthquake information is based in the results from the "Nepal Hazard Risk Assessment Document. Part 1. ADPC" document. The estimated geometric accuracy of the image is 10 m CE90 and the geometric accuracy of the vector data complies with JRC requirements for 1:25,000 cartography, as it is based on visual interpretation of recognizable items on very high resolution optical imagery. The statistical table included in this map shows the amount of POIs, population, the lenght of roads, and the area of irrigation and urban zones (BUAs) situated in high, medium or low earqhquake hazard assessment within the 25,000 scale AOI.
