flow of the lines from the front to the rear in a beautiful fashion.

NATURAL BORN PERFORMERNot only does the all new Mazda5 have the soul of a sports car, it has the underpinnings

of a sport sedan. The ultra-refined Mazda5 offers more driving pleasure and better fuel

efficiency to please the driver as much as the rest of the family. Turn on the ignition and

awaken its powerful 2.0l MZR engine, which is specially engineered to match up to the

Mazda5’s superior body. With a power output of 107kW and maximum torque of 185Nm,

it adds even more to Mazda’s Zoom-Zoom experience.

MORE ROOM TO PLAYThe Mazda5 inherits the highly acclaimed innovative package with NAGARE

design motifs featured throughout the interior for an even sportier look. It is

clear from the moment you slide into the driver’s seat that the Mazda5 has

been designed with craftsmanship and functionality foremost in our minds.

Instrumentation is positioned where it is clearly visible without having to divert

your eyes from the road ahead. For safety and convenience, key features such

as the audio can be operated from the steering wheel mounted controls. And all

essential controls and storage are comfortably within reach and easy to use with

LIFE, NOW MORE ACCESSIBLEThe all new Mazda5 is blessed with large sliding doors on both sides. Unlike any

other minivan in this class, these doors operate effortlessly and without worry,

even when space is tight around the Mazda5. The ‘6 + One’ packaging concept

was developed to realise an open space between independent second row

seats in the cabin’s centre, and to promote free and open interaction between

occupants of all three rows.

The ‘6 + One’ packaging concept of the Mazda5 offers the versatile ‘+ One’

functions of the Karakuri seventh seat, the Karakuri utility box, and the centre

walk-through passageway. The Mazda5 initiates a new dimension of versatile

functionality and stylish elegance.

The Mazda5 not only cares for you but for your passengers too. The new

Mazda5 employs a sliding door latch mechanism that is used for the first

time on any Mazda car. The door latch engages with a striker to firmly

support the sliding doors, thus preventing the doors from breaking away

or deforming in the event of a collision. Touch sensors in the power sliding

rear doors protect fingers as the doors close. Mazda5 features dual front

airbags, front-row side airbags and curtain airbags for all three rows. In

the event of a collision, Mazda5’s occupant safety cell and Supplementary

Restraint System (SRS) combine to offer excellent protection for those

inside, while an energy-absorbing structure in the bonnet and front

bumper helps reduce the potential for pedestrian injury.
