What can I expect? Career preparation, job shadowing, clinical experiences, employer advisory councils, paid on-the-job training (OJT), and rigorous college readiness training.

Our students excel! Students can earn college credit in over 15 advanced placement courses offered in science, social studies, mathematics, English, foreign language, and art history. Students in career, honor, and service clubs receive top awards from regional, state, and national competitions. Over 300 students a year receive certification through their chosen program of study.

What happens to Tech grads? 90% of TBT students enter post-secondary education. Recent grads currently attend technical centers, community colleges, and major universities throughout the United States. This includes West Point, MIT, Harvard, Brown, University of Pennsylvania, Columbia, Stanford and University of California, Berkeley.

What about scholarshipsTech students earn more than $3 million annually in scholarships. Scholarships are available for Technical Centers, Community Colleges and Universities, Bright Futures Scholarship Program, Florida Academic Scholars Award, Florida Merit Scholars Award, Florida Gold Seal Vocational Scholars Award, Industry Sponsorship, Hillsborough Education Foundation, and Adult Apprenticeship.

• Academy of Architecture(Magnet Application Required) Computer-aided drafting skills are high tech, high wage, and in high demand by architectural and engineering firms. Students use computers to create designs, survey, and build models of various structures.

• Academy of Health Professions(Magnet Application Required) Prepare for a medical career in dental, veterinary assisting, medical lab assisting, allied health, radiology, EMT, personal training, and EKG tech.

• Academy of Veterinary Science(Magnet Application Required) Veterinary Assistance is a rapidly growing profession. Prepare for an exciting, enjoyable career working with animals while earning honors and dual enrollment credits.

• Collision Repair & Paint RefinishingPaint, repair, and customize vehicles in our real-world repair facility and learn a highly skilled trade.

• Transportation Services (Auto & Diesel Repair)Get your high-tech skills in gear with a state-of-the-art Automotive Center of Emphasis. Diagnose, repair, and maintain auto and diesel vehicles as well as heavy equipment.

• Commercial Art AcademyExpand your artistic interest and skills in this one-of-a-kind program. Prepare to become a cartoonist, newspaper and magazine illustrator, graphic designer, or computer artist. www.myTBTart.com

• Computer Systems Technology Cisco AcademyYou will be able to build, fix, and/or troubleshoot computers with your in-demand IT (Information Technology) skills.
