SPURS Sunset: Current Activities

Agencies are being transitioned off of SPURS in a phased approach, with all agencies being transitioned this fiscal year.

Agency Liaisons have been briefed on their timeframe for “SPURS PO Shutoff,” with the next wave of agencies taking place in March, 2005

DMS is working with agencies to understand any specific concerns related to SPURS sunset so that options for agency usage of SPURS can be identified (e.g., Use of alternate forms for purchase requests to non traditional vendors)

There are continuous meetings between SPURS Support Team, the MyFloridaMarketPlace Support Team and Aspire Support Team

SPURS Sunset: Agency Activities

Multi-year purchase orders will be maintained in MyFloridaMarketPlace going forward

All Blanket Purchase Orders for the upcoming fiscal year should be created in MyFloridaMarketPlace

Agencies should review open purchase orders to determine if they can be closed

As a general guideline- if an order needs to stay open past the end of the fiscal year, the order should be keyed into MyFloridaMarketPlace

At some point, a process will be run in SPURS to close out all open orders
