Day 6 Sat Florence/Magione/Assisi/Rome (Special Wine Tasting At Magione Castle) Morning departure for Rome. Drive through the serene Tuscan and Umbrian countryside, passing by the shores of Lake Trasimenowith a stop at the Magione Castle dating back to 1150-1170 A.D. The Castle ispresently the private residence of the Prince and Grand Master of SovereignMilitary Order of Knights of Malta. Today the castle is surrounded by therolling terrain of a 3,724-acre farm. The farm is partly devoted to vineyards(74 acres) and an olive grove (59 acres). The highlight of the tour will be thecastle cellar, with its XV century walls and vaults, housing thermo-conditioned stainless steel basins as well as barriques (oak barrels) to preservea superior quality of red wines. Here a wine expert will lecture on the vinification process that takes place at the castle, followed by a delicious tasting of the varieties of wines produced at the castle. Day 6 Sat Florence/Magione/Assisi/Rome (Special Wine Tasting At Ma-gione Castle) Morning departure for Rome. Drive through the serene Tuscanand Umbrian countryside, passing by the shores of Lake Trasimeno with astop at the Magione Castle, dating back to 1150-1170 A.D. The Castle ispresently the private residence of the Prince and Grand Master of SovereignMilitary Order of Knights of Malta. Today, the castle is surrounded by therolling terrain of a 3,724-acre farm. The farm is partly devoted to vineyards(74 acres) and an olive grove (59 acres). Day 4 Troy – Pergamum – Kusadasi Today we visit Troy with its famousreplica of the wooden Trojan Horse then head down the Aegean coast to Asclepion, the ancient Medical Center in Pergamum before arriving in the seaside town of Kusadasi for a two-night stay. (B,D)

Day 5 Ephesus & Seljuk – Kusadasi Spend the morning touring the spectac-ular Roman ruins of Ephesus as well as visit the house of the Virgin Mary innearby Seljuk followed by a tour of a regional rug production center. Day 8 Antalya Today is a free day to explore on your own. There are alsoa number of Optional Excursions (at additional cost) such as a tour of the ruinsat Phaselis or a relaxing yacht cruise along the Turquoise Mediterranean coastline. (B,D)

Day 9 Aspendos – Konya After breakfast we depart for Konya and en routevisit the famous theatre in Aspendos. In Konya where we stay the night, wewill visit the Mevlana Mausoleum and Karatay Koran School. (B,D)

Day 10 Cappadocia En route to Cappadocia this morning we stop to visit the13th century Agzikarahan caravansary. On arrival in the land of 'Fairy Chim-neys', we will tour the famous underground city of Sarhatli and visit a regionalcarpet production center. Tonight after our dinner in a local restaurant there willbe an optional (at additional cost) Whirling Dervishes performance. (B,D)

Day 11 Cappadocia Early this morning there is an Optional (at additionalcost) Hot Air Balloon excursion where we float above volcanic valleys withtheir fairy chimneys and caves as the sun rises over Cappadocia. After break-fast, we visit Goreme, Avanos, Pasabagi, Red Valley, and have a brief tour ofa regional pottery workshop in a cave.

Day 12 Ankara Driving through the heart of Anatolia today we pass the saltlake area before arriving in the early afternoon in Ankara. Our tour ofTurkey's capital will include the Ataturk Mausoleum and the Anatolian Civilizations Museum. (B,D)

Day 13 Istanbul After a scenic morning drive we arrive in Istanbul. The afternoon is free to explore this exotic city on your own or take an optionalexcursion (at additional cost) of a cruise on the Bosphorus including lastminute shopping in the Spice Market.
